Fun, fun. On that student life.

So tried to pay off ticket, have to wait 3 business day fuuk.

Wanted to go renew tags as BMV is open on Saturday. Closes in less than an hour. Fuuk again.

Have to go to Windsor this coming Friday. Hopefully I can get things cleared up by then cause I don't have money to rent a car for a day unless something is cheap.

Yeah I know that feel. Getting my NC plate last year was a pain in the ass, especially getting the emissions waiver from an office that was open from 8am-10am and 2 counties away. Also renewed a few days ago along with my license which is quite relieving.

Jelly of your age tho. Can't rent car yet crew checking in

Yeah but some car dealerships rent out cars and you don't have to be 25 just 21 so if you ever need a rental look into that.

See right now I can't renew or do anything until Monday or Tuesday so I'm hoping I don't get pulled over again. Not sure if it's another ticket or even if I'm allowed to drive.

So my expired tags have come back to bite me in the ass. My lady friend asked me to come over tonight and I would but don't want to risk getting pulled over, another ticket, car impound and jail time.

I was tempted to rent a car but all places were closed. There are things I would do but risking jail and hefty fines not really worth it.

No Uber drivers in my town. No buses in my town. I also don't have a bike.

Also I don't think a friend is willing to drive me a few hours away unless they get something out of it.

There will be other days.

Just wrote my level 1 CFA exam brahs…feels good man, studied that chit for 3 months
I forgot to update my passport info until last night (replaced mine recently cuz I lost it), thought I wouldn't be able to write it cuz they only take passports and the number and expiration date have to match. Thank god they granted an exception and I was able to sit for the exam. Think I did okay. Results come out in a month but I'm just relieved that it's over. Reps til I'm out

Really? Is this in the US or the motherland (or both)?

I just googled the consequences for a second offense of driving with a plate expired for 6 months plus. Jail is a possibility, most likely result is a criminal traffic citation and summons to appear in court. Sauce: a cop who posted in an online forum in 2009.

I did the rental in the USA last year at 24. It was through the Toyota dealership in town so check their site. Price wasn't bad maybe a bit more but still reasonable. Also got a fully loaded Camry for a few days better than most rental places anyways. Just need insurance and you're good to go.

Yeah my tags are approaching 6mo. Seriously I never got a notice in the mail. When do tags expire? Start of month? End of month? Birthday?

When did you get your tag? They're usually good for one year.

Bought my car Aug 2014. Tags Expired Jan 2015. I figured they were good until Jan 2016 but I was wrong and well never really looked as well.

Edit: So when I paid for my tags I paid a full year for half a year.

Ok your situations different from mine then. I brought my car from Canada then got a state plate and registered in the US. The plate was good for a year by default. Also, they gave me a notice in the mail to renew almost 3 months in advance of my plate expiring, so the fact you got nothing in the mail is weird.

Yeah I checked the DMV website for Ohio and they say if you don't get a renewal then I still have to stay on top of that. Was hoping I could get the late fee waived but they said no. Sucks cause if I got the noticed it would have cost me $40 rather then the $200 it's about to cost me.

Yeah but $200 is better then if I got caught later, possible car impound and tow, possible jail time (depends on the cop), bigger fine and maybe insurance hit.

So everyone check your tags and renew if need to.

the buffet is kinda gross honestly. my buddies like it so we go every now and then though. plus its like $7 so its all good, better value than a quiznos or something
brah, you can always find easy trails to find in the mountains srs
just gotta find a good circuit

whereabouts do you live?

also, i'd recommend a hardtail bike meaning only front suspension
it will be lighter and more suitable for your needs
full suspension is unnecessary unless you're doing downhill biking
look for brands like Kona, Specialized, and Norco for the best bang for your buck
not too pricey but very high quality

I should say that since I meet the height requirements that weight doesn't matter.

Well…im still alive after ripping the bike on the weekend a couple times. It's all coming back to me too and I even hit a decent sized jump a couple times. The bike is way faster then I thought though. haha. I did grow up riding race 4 wheelers and was going to pick one of those up, but got the bike instead. I di feel more comfortable on 4 wheels.

How was everyones weekend?

Well my tags are up to date $50 later. Bye, bye groceries this week. Lady was shocked I went this long with my tags expired said I got pulled over. She said lucky I wasn't 6mo over or I could have been in some sh*t. Also they got rid of the expiry notice in Ohio so it's all up to you know but expires midnight on your birthday.

Now to pay off that ticket whenever the hell it get's into that county's system. Probably mid week or something.
