Looking for a big juicy watch that won't break the bank. I think I'm done with small dress watches. I'd get a breitling or something but I'm not at that level yet. Hmmm

Lmao the GOAT

I'm thinking no more than about 300 USD. Business is slow atm tbh. I'll have to work up to something more legit later. Anything that's awesome and can fit panerai straps 44mm + I think

The standard strap width for a 44mm panerai would be 24mm. The only watches I can think of that come even close to under $300 and fit the bill would be maranez watches. I can't think of anything else tbh. Up your limit to $500 and you'll open up your options a bit.

It's not mine, and it's not a legit PN. I found it in a watch store in Hiroshima for 4,000,000 Yen (35.5k USD). It's a regular vintage Daytona on which they installed a new dial and bezel. It looked great, though the pic is a bit ****ty (there's plastic protection film over the watch head). Pretty sure legit PN Daytona's start at $150k though

makes sense, cause the best condition PN ive seen with the panda dial has chips near the 9oclock position on the bezel

it wasnt bad the snow was pretty slushy, on the lower/bottom end of the runs, but near the top it was still decent enough to carve it out. ate it a few time from trying to stop too fast heel side and sliding out cause of skipping and hard patches. i dont think its gonna last much longer tho cause it was in the 60's and it looked like alot of the areas thata re usually covered thsi time of year were bare ground, and i could see dirt (like the photo). it is possible that we could get another cold front but idk. i didnt know mt. high had already closed, kind of bummed, cause i havent gone up there for ever, i was thinking of getting a friday night sess in cause theyre only like an hour from where i live.

Looks good brah. One tip I use with shots like this that have an area with a lot of light that washes out the watch (or whatever), is tap your iPhone screen (if you have an iPhone) on the watch and it will focus on it. The rest of the photo will darken and the lit part will become very clear and vivid.

Fuk it, bit the bullet and ordered a Sinn 556i tonight. Need something on my wrist and I've been staring at it for the last month.

inb4 i scratch it on day one and jump in front of a bus for not shelling out for the tegimented upgrade(if i was spending that much I'd probs be looking at something else anyway) or it gets delivered to work and a pallet of iphones immediately gets dropped on it.

Companies need to make more small/mid pilot style watches, not like they need to fit over a flight suit and gloves any more.

^Nice.

Here's an opinion for you guys: Seiko fukking sucks.

Now, allow me to support my opinion.
brb "greatest watch company in the world", yet misaligned bezels everywhere on their divers, and they ignore any complaints. Chino, one of the JDM seiko dealers, has placed a notice on his website about seiko's divers and how he has contacted seiko about the alignment issue, and received no response.
brb MAJOR fukking defects that don't go away. With the reissue of the turtle, three issues are prevalent.
1. Dent in the bezel. Seiko is offering exchanges, but watches are STILL coming out with dents.
http://forums.watchuseek.com/f21/sei...t-2802074.html
2. Bezel misalignment.
3. Sloppy finishing (mentioned in WUS thread).
additionally, the cocktail time suffers from dents in the dial. watches are still coming out with dents, and the cocktail time has been out for a while.
brb they just don't fukking care about how they present or advertise themselves. one poster on WUS visited the seiko booth at some basel world-like watch fair. Seiko had a few GS's on display, and almost all of them had serious manufacturing issues. He posted pictures on some GS thread on WUS. I've also seen numerous seiko ads with the bezel misalignment.
brb shoddy customer services. visit the Seiko on WUS section and there is almost always a thread on there about seiko having **** customer service. I have seen horror stories from Rolex and Omega, but not nearly as frequently as I see them with Seiko.

sounds like it's pretty unacceptable. Personally my skx suffers from a chapter ring misalignment so I believe this. I do how ever wonder what the percentage of watches with flaws is, and if it's more expensive to change the manufacturing procedure and correct these issues, or just say "**** it, only .01% suffer from this issue and it's gonna cost $xxx to correct the issue". Can't believe they wouldnt fix it if there was a huge percentage of watches with **** ups. Then again I own one, so does my pops, and from what I've seen its quite a common issue.

I think their reputation as "the greatest watchmaker in the world" isn't deserved. It's almost as if they're cocky, and refuse to change anything because they know people will still buy their watches, regardless of defects.
