Whelp, my vehicle is officially past its expiration date. Mechanic told me to save my money, lol.
But I don't want to start searching for a new one.
Then I came home to a notice that I have unclaimed property in a previous state. Now I just need to dig up proof of residency from 9 years ago. Stupid university, smh.

Pros:
-mildly fuel efficient (22/26mpg City/HWY)
-decent mechanical condition
-brand new clutch (getting installed today actually)
-subwoofer
-2-door so you have a reason not to give people rides (I see you Amanda)
-hatchback so more interior space than a comparable sedan
-windows tinted so people can't see you pick your nose at red lights
Cons:
-front driver's side fender is dented, 2 quarter-sized paint chips (planning on fixing if I don't need to replace completely)
-small thumbtack sized chip in the windshield (planning on fixing)
-in need of a deep cleaning
-could prob use some air freshener too
-also subwoofer
BTW IT'S STICK SHIFT
RE: bad reviews..you'll get those on any car. With the amount of automobiles being sold, there are lemons in every brand, and every model. Visit forums for cars you seriously consider, get an idea of the more common problems across the models/trims, and decide if they're livable.
but you should definitely get a late 60's camaro then pick us all up for some Vegas shenanigans. Wb4ds will be our expert vehicle loader, he's got plenty of expertise fitting more people than a car is safely rated to carry.

I've got a 2012 wrangler and honestly it hasn't been that bad. had it since may and the only real issue i had was with a thermostat replacement that cost like $400. general maintenance like oil changes, etc. are quite cheap but mine has like 75k miles on it so i had to pay ~$1000 once for the 75k mile service. it does help that mine is completely barebones (i even have manual door locks and roll-up windows srs).once you get the itch to mod it though…you go down the rabbit hole real fast. brb $1300 on new tires and wheels, and i'm planning to drop like $2-4 grand more on bumpers and a lift kit.
it is simultaneously the worst and best vehicle ever IMO. it's got a primitive suspension setup, is heavy as fuk, super slow, handles like chit, is very noisy, and gives me like 15.5mpg combined. but, there's just something really cool and fun about driving a vehicle like that…kinda like driving an old timey truck. also driving in the summer with the doors and top off is hnnnngggg, and it does amazingly well off-road (because it was pretty much designed for that purpose).
if you're looking for a comfortable daily driver, i wouldn't recommend a wrangler especially if your commute is quite long. on-road driving qualities are garbage. also resale value is insane so you probably won't get a good deal. mine was around $21k for a 2012 barebones base model 2-door with close to 70k miles on it.
if you're talking about other jeep vehicles (like the grand cherokee, renegade, etc.), i haven't exactly heard good things about their reliability tbh. i'd say the wrangler is probably the most reliable vehicle jeep sells right now because of minimal electronics and a very basic suspension and drivetrain setup.
