This is one of the things about companies that make lower end watches. There's a million different cheap Quartz insignificant seikos out there, and I guess you could say some of them are "rare" because they stop making them and replace with a different design. Then there are the classics that have long term value and have significance like the 007, monster, 5, cocktail times etc

But the majority of seikos are boring and not very attractive or have any cool factor

Thanks brah! But custom? All originals here bruh. This ones definitely a stunner. PS - I'm still on spread to rep you back (haven't been miscing lol) but I think this ones a keeper, though with keeping this I'm likely going to trim some of my Omegas (like that linen dial you liked a while back).

Whoops - my bad; when I say 'custom', I mean an original watch thrown on a non-original strap (e.g. leather ostrich). It's almost as if you can visualise the complete piece and you're like, "Yeah That'll look sexy AF! BRB making it happen!"

Ooh, the linen-dial Omega, huh? Remind me of her, please (pics)

Ahhh gotcha! Actually that kind of is my thought process lol. But also, I just have a a bunch of random straps so I can easily hold up 10 different combinations to the watch head and see what works. Sometimes it's not what you'd expect. I completely agree though, a good strap pairing makes all the difference, and I'd say my combos are quite good :P

Here's a pic dump of watches from my personal collection that are potentially on the chopping block (and a few bonus of the linen for you). I really wasn't planning on keeping this Rollie, so I have to cut some others to feel ok about that haha. TBH, not sure which/all of these to let go, I'm pretty attached to them by now.

I've just acquired a Citizen Eco-drive "Riva". The design stood out to me because it reminds me of the VC Overseas, a watch that I have admired for a long time.

the bracelet seems to be of a much higher quality than all stock Seiko bracelets that I have ever owned in the same price range

I can't wait till I'm home again, I've bought 13 new watches over the past 2 weeks already, can't wait to see them! (actually more than 13, but had some shipped to the US as well, so that will take a month longer before I get to see those)

So, I'm on a big watches, **** the luxury brands kick right now. Was looking for a large manual winding black watch with 24mm lugs. Remembered reading up on the Glycine Incursore line a few years back. Hopped on Amazon and found many of these for under $600 which is just crazy for the quality. They come with standard ETA movements, an excellent fit and finish for the price point, and some rich history as well I believe. Retail looks like $2000, but you can even find ones with glycine warranties for under $1000.

Check them out. Only problem is, now I want another!

Okelidokeli, what do you have in mind? At the moment I'm looking into expanding into Japan, but why stop here (there), when the world is so big?

Probs should have taken a photo in the sunlight so i didnt have to get on that flash time.

Based on entry level goodness i wouldnt hesitate to buy a more expensive Sinn. Was hella impressed with the folks i bought it from too (Define watches in Bris for Ausbrahs looking for a German watch).

gonna pickup this exact same model coming week (in blue), with blue nato strap. Brand new condition from some collector, 75 bucks. I think it's a great deal, gonna buy a leather nato strap aswell to switch it up sometimes.
