I got double mod negged last week. Took that chit like a bawse and laughed in their face.

Point being, who gives a fuk about reps. The only thing that pisses me off is people who act like reps don't matter yet they are trading with mods and other high reppers and then when you say something they act like you care too much about green squares. Fukin rageworthy

My suggestion, if the concern is regular posters having "modlike" reps, would be to raise mod reps to 2 million, and admin reps to 4 million, or whatever. It took 15 years for somebody to get close to 1 million reps, so that would fix that perceived imbalance for another 10 years or so. Also, try taking neg powers away from sub-10k posters, and watch the negs virtually disappear. Koala tea posters stick around, trolls usually get bored and find cliffs to fall off of.

Forget rep trading, bring back REP BETTING!

I think by like 07 or something I was at 5,000 or so when Rep Betting was introduced. Everyone's reps shot up from exponentially. By the time it I left in 2009 I was around 18 or 20,000 . The higher you get the more often you get greened, it's just how it is.


If yall have to do something to the 50 or so people this will affect, I think the cap should be higher depending on when you joined. If you have been here 5 years or less 150K 5 years or more it should be 300,000. 10 years or more 500,000

EDIT: Since mods are watching this thread, how come some of us still have our body points and some don't - and how the **** did we get them to begin with.

High rep nut hugging has been an issue for years

OP high reps? Everyone laughs, agrees with, won't argue, passive responses etc...

Not sure if the rep system has a variable for current rep power when being repped but I think that would help.
Something like under X amount rep power they receive a multiplier when repped
Or lower the neg power of X amount rep power

Early on it took forever to get to 1k and negs only dropped you a little bit because everyone was pretty close

I forget the math in the rep/neg system but if I can +15 someone it doesn't matter when they get negged 100

A few high reppers get too many reps, the rep system is reset. This was a catalyst for the FIRST rep reset.

So we are going to keep doing this every 10 years and punish hard earning high reppers? At this rate I will BARELY have enough reps for retirement.

Let's make the misc great again and stop this.
