For someone who benches close to 4 plates, you should have no problems benching 315 for a few reps without a spot. Are you going to deliver or take it like a man and go to band camp for a month?

This, why would you need a spot for 315 if you're almost at 4... I don't even need a spot to hit 315 and my max is probably sitting at like 345-350 since I got sick.

Why do you need a cameraman on top of all that?

Getting pretty skeptical

Gonna make my own thread in a bit instead of infiltrating ashwars. Either this fraud delivers or I expect him to serve a 1 month ban like he agreed to

I'm doing this to teach OP and the misc a few lessons. Mainly, I want them to learn to plan out their training better. There's no magic in programming. Its simply looking beyond the workout that you're currently doing

Look at most of the advice ITT. Do this exercise, try this rep range, move to this split. Its all based around a single workout. You can't achieve long term goals by looking 2 feet in front of your face
Good luck... The misc has the attention span of a gnat.

Still a smart lesson to learn. Seems like most people believe getting to heavy weight is the same process as getting to 225.

Can do 4 plates - Needs spot for 315. Doesn't know how to prop up camera. Seems legit.

Looks like you are about to get a heavy dose of reds...

i was benching 2 plates comfortable for 8-10 decided to give 2.5 a bash and got 3 reps. Failed my first few attempts at 3 plates but got it eventually.

there was about 2 weeks between the 2.5 and 3 plates for me.

That was 1rm tho

Yep, hardly anyone benches 315 in reality.

It took me a little over a year to go from benching 145 to 315 natty from 19-20 when I first started working out

No tips other than I had tremendous adrenaline and a strong CNS

I didn't improve much after that because I started partying too much and abandoned working out seriously, but 315 shouldn't be hard. I did it as a tall wiry guy at the time (6'5", 225). Just believe in yourself and try to channel your adrenaline

I actually just hit a new PR of 265 on flat yesterday at around 160lbs bw. After slacking for the better part of a year decided to really nail diet and progressive overload and with the help of muscle memory, went from doing 170 for 3 reps in November, at 145lbs bw to the aforementioned. I feel as though if I just dirty bulked again and focused entirely on strength, I could hit 3 plates but I honestly feel and look like absolute dogsh*t if I'm above 15%~.

All of you guys dwarf me in size and strength, however, but I'm slowly climbing my way up the skinnyfat natty ladder lmao.

OP its gonna sound dumb, but bench more. The most success with bench press training I've had is ignoring weak point training (shoulder press for weak shoulders. bands if you suck at lock out, etc etc) and just flat bench 4+ days a week with some light upper body accessories for health. I'm closing in on 405 paused bench as a natty from a 330 max 5 months ago (380 is my current training max but I haven't tested in a while). You can handle a lot more bench volume compared to squat and deadlift because it's a lot less taxing. You can get a 315 bench from a 300 bench within a couple months if you really push the volume for a bit with high frequency.

Ever do a cobra stretch before benching?

I started doing that to improve my arch.

I don't bench 315 yet.
