Me from last year would multi date. I was trying it with this girl and this previous girl I talked to in Jan - early Feb.

I sometimes question how I should proceed, but once I become sexual with a dating prospect I don't pursue anyone else.

Right. Where is the self-worth? 3 days no text back, but we're dating? Umm yeah, Im moving on. I at least send a quick text like "hey babe, just really busy/not feeling well/whatever. can we connect on ___?" takes 2 mins.

But i just saw they were only dating for 1 month. So idk. I dont really expect much from 1 month.

Because the guy I dated and I are slow people. We take things slow. We have other things to do and we are secure in how we feel about each other.

edit - I mean if the last text was not a question then we don't have to text everyday. Different people have different ways of communicating. It just so happens that he is like that and I am okay with it.

I'm in tech too but I put my phone on silent mode. My family and friends know that if it is an emergency then just call me right away.

Bro, you date multiple ones at the same time so one weird thing like this doesnt impact your flow of strange. It seems like she messed around with you until some guy probably laid better pipe than you when she went on vacay and then she decided to upgrade to a guy with either more money or bigger cawk. Answer is simple, move on. If she comes back for some dicking later on then you can reevaluate your roster at that time. At this time its time to scout better and younger prospects.

If you’re dating other people why wouldn’t she?

And if she’s dating other people while dating you she’s not worth focusing on

See how that works?

Works the other way too

You like someone, you show em ...screw modern dating it’s not working for ya

i agree that i would prefer if the dating world would be where you focus on one person at a time. But from what i see from my friends and from my experience most people date multiple people at once and then choose one eventually if they like them. If you are not doing the same you are going to be at a disadvantage. Its just an unpleasant reality of modern hook up culture. To me it clearly seems like the doctor is intent on hooking up with other people. Ive seen that behaviour too many times from both sides of the fence and its clear as day that's what is happening in this scenario.

This is how I am as well. I'm not a multi dater and I def don't have sex with more than 1 person at a time.

Agreed! It takes a couple seconds to send a quick text. Busy is code for not interested.

Yesssssss to the bolded. This is my issue with the dating scene of now. All the freaking games are so ridiculous. If I like you I am going to show it. If you like me, show it. None of this trying to get someone to chase you bullchit. It should be mutual.

Sword, I'm sorry that happened. It really sucks but unfortunately it happens often.

It's a reality because people don't stop doing it. The majority of people I ask about this have the same response - "I don't like it, but it's just how it is".

That's bullchit. So just because their friend jumps off a bridge, I guess they will too. It's ridiculous. I won't do it no matter if everyone else seems to think they should.

Women in their early 30's are still relatively young (obviously not like someone who is a teenager or in their 20's)

Some keep dating until their 40's (and older) especially if they keep getting male attention.

You just have to date these women and not take them seriously.

They can literally date 2-3 guys per week if they wanted to nowadays.

Pack of betas. I tell the woman straight up what I think about that dating culture, and the reasoning behind exclusive dating. I've only heard positive responses.

Being straight up is the best way to go. I am as well. I have no problem being honest about what I'm interested in and what I'm not interested in. Cuts out the bull and saves time and energy.

it seems desperate telling a girl straight off the bat that i just want to date you.... like maybe after a few dates but on the first or second date? If a girl did that to me it would seem clingy. Also women will lie to you or "embelish" the truth just enough so its convenient for them. Cant fight the system man.

I've argued this on here before, it depends how you deliver it.

If you're scared about how she'll react, then ye you will come across as beta and clingy (because you actually are more beta than the guy who is direct). If you lay down your boundaries clearly, she'll either respect you or you shouldn't give two chits anyway.

This is bizarre and it makes no sense. Especially if the relationship is in that honeymoon phase. 3 days to text someone means you're not into them. How can you go so long without speaking to them? They should be the person you want to talk to all the time (this is especially true in that honeymoon phase I mentioned. You have either never been in love or you're just an anomaly but let me tell you...99% of women would never go 3 days without texting a guy....that guy they feel butterflies for etc. they are dying to speak to him. You mean to tell me that you're so into a guy but in 3 days he doesn't cross your mind once? You don't think let me send him a msg/find out what he's up to/tell him what just happened to me....you get the picture.
There is but one path....we kill them all.

it seems desperate, i mean why would you invest so much in a chick you just met? just lay some good pipe and if it works out it works out, if doesnt then move on to the next one. If i want a long term thing i want her to choose me since then I know for sure she is interested in me. Saying I want a long term thing and I dont want you to see other people even though we have been on 3 dates only just seems needy to me.

This is exactly right. It's about setting clear boundaries.

I just can't imagine being into someone and not wanting to communicate with them every day. I mean, I have friends that I text with every day. I like texting, there is no way I could be in a relationship with a guy who only texted once every couple days. I don't need to be in constant communication, but several times a day, even if short, is preferable for me.

Don't try to understand it. I've participated in it several times after my long term marriage ended and I still don't understand it. It's definitely not for me and it's pretty incomprehensible to me how people do it for any length of time.

I think you're reading more into what he's actually saying. He's not saying it's relationship status after 2-3 dates. He's saying he's not interested in dating multiple people at the same time as he's trying to get to know someone, and doesn't want them to do so either. It's about giving that person a chance, trying to get to know them and see if you want to continue taking it further. When you're dating multiple people at the same time you're not giving any of them a chance really. You're just going from one to the next to the next.

yeh i get what youre saying. Im saying usually youl see a few people and then eventually naturally you will gravitate to one person more and start spending more time on them specifically. I think the difference is I prefer to let it gravitate there naturally and eventually if she likes me enough we will have that talk, whereas Lucifer prefers stating it outright. I usually dont see that many people at one time since I dont really have time to anyways and I also dont want to put in the effort for multiple people.

haha.. maybe both of us are weird. We are both introverts and shy people. He has a daughter and have lots of things going on. I work a lot too. He doesn't like to talk much unless he needs to and I am okay with that. We don't constantly need attention plus there were other stuff going on with his life.

I usually dont see that many people at one time since I dont really have time to anyways and I also dont want to put in the effort for multiple people.
I know for me, when I was online dating, usually I'd gravitate towards one person even before meeting them. If I felt a lot more of a connection with one while texting and a meet was coming up, I wouldn't meet anyone else I was talking to.

I don't think you're weird. People are just different. What some of us need will vary from what you need. That's why it's important to know what you need in a relationship and to not compromise on the things that are really important to you.

I havent felt that way since high school, i guess age has made me more jaded. I dunno i really need to see some good qualities in a girl before I get attached. Even if she seems nice at first you cant really tell based on first impressions.

Wow, really? One just doesn't ever stand out to you? Well, no, you can't tell for sure from first impressions, but I'd bet there's more good ones out there than you think.
