You mean the ones that are actually getting UE.
And hell, that's great. Really, I'd fukkin love it at this point in my life. But, with this dragging on, do you think companies are gonna hire right back? Also, the health insurance problem doesn't go away just because UE was granted. After a month, good bye to that. COBRA? Yeah that's a pretty penny to spend with no job on the horizon. Business owners? Land lords? 1099? PPP only covered so much. Good bye majority of the job creation in USA, come back when we can offer 25-50% capacity lol.
Virtue is its own reward.

Good points. A lot of uncertainty still. Although most people will be on government healthcare system like MediCal which is free.

and yes of course old people are dying, but take note of what's taking out the 30-60 year olds.
I hope so.

I saw an EMT dude a while back walk into the gas station and fill his belly washer 60 oz soda with no shame. I’d never let myself get like that, he had to be 400 lbs. How do you even become an EMT being that big?
I loe e.

We have hellacious unemployment right now. What do people lose when they don't have a job? Yeah, I know you guessed it cos you are concerned-health insurance. What are people putting off right now? Elective procedures. Like cancer treatment. And heart surgery. Good chit. The kinda stuff that leads to longer lifespan you know? We're also suffering a massive mental health crisis, totally unrelated, but definitely gonna get exacerbated by this damn virus. How we gonna treat this with no job nor insurance? Big issues right now. Poverty kills, these lockdowns are only prolonging the worst affects with negligible benefit, probably none. I don't think we need to go full bore, we definitely need to ramp up testing, but like I said earlier-consider the bigger picture.
thats been my point this entire time. If this virus spreads exponentially what is the point of a lockdown? once we go back to normal it will just spread again.. Hence why i said its best if everyone catches the virus quickly and gets over it quickly ..obviously not at the expense of over crowding our hospitals. But the idea that we will stay inside and then the virus will somehow go away or that the curve will flatten and then not spike again when we do go back out is just crazy..we have to learn how to live with the virus

im already getting depressed and agitated from not being able to work out and/or do things with friends outside. (not everyone likes to sit at home and watch netflix all day) I cant imagine the mental and economic toll this will take on people when everything is all said and done... small family run businesses gone ..

And yet all I see is road signs telling me to "keep it up" and how all of this will help beat Covid-19 as if it's going away because of all of this stay at home bs.

edit: Also where are cases exploding currently? I know New York and Jersey still have quite a few but where else could account for yesterdays new cases being so high?

There is literally no discussion with you people any more. You don't even consider the context of what "new cases" means. It means positive tests, and does not necessarily have anything to do with infections.

You people will believe what you want to believe, which is what you're told by the tv. Why make such circlejerk threads?

Stop being a bunch of beta pussies and handle lockdown until the virus is gone. Its not rocket science. You isloate. The virus stops spreading. Of those that have it most will recover, eventually if done properley there are F all new infections and you get it under control and can reopen your economy.

How the F is the "greatest nation in the world" showing the world right now its a giant beta pussy?

hahahahhaha

You really think thats it lol

Easy to have covid when you can't stick to a simple lockdown and half your populace do more to spread the virus than prevent it... in the name of their "rights" or something
