There was a study(I believe its now been withdrawn as those who did don't want to get fired) where young girls who never identify with being a male their entire lives, are doing so in an effort to not have to grow up and move out etc, so they believe in doing this they get to delay adulthood as they are not mentally prepared for that. It obviously goes more in depth that that, but thats the list I believe.
