Not eveyrone has advantageous anthropometry or muscle insertions for every single lift

Don’t think of it as giving up, just taking a break

I mean if it’s causing pain that’s your body’s way of saying stop

When my feet are higher on the platform, it still gave me pain. When my feet were way back Tom Platz style, no issues.

You might need heel elevation when you squat and to get your more knees forward. I dunno though I never had hip pain.

I’ve never had hip pain either until recently. Not sure what I’m doing differently. The weights are lighter. I’ll try one more time before truly giving up. Or maybe I’ll just do front squats.

Front squats could work or if your gym has a safety bar, try that.

Two squat workouts I did 405x5, last time 405 felt really heavy and I only did 1 FML
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)

I stopped doing these. I did some this morning and it was painful to stretch but it felt good as well. I’m gonna reintroduce them again.

I feel like it happens a lot

I train really hard. And make progress, but then it’s like I pushed too hard for too long and just get exhausted. Exhaustion is how I felt last time I lifted

I could do a deload, but then I feel like I’ll lose my gains

If you deload, don't reduce the weight you use just do half the volume. When I started doing it like that I'd always be stronger after.

I think this was chirstmas day. I haven't trained legs since then. Andrew Wk was playing. That was pretty cool.

Has anyone else been squatting?
