Career catches of #49ers WRs signed for 2017: Kerley: 246 Ellington: 19 Harper: 14 Ross: 9 Smelter: 1 Carter: 0 Rogers: 0
So here are some stats of our current WRs. We assume Patton will be gone? But he still hasn't really done anything anyway…. I hope they have something up their sleeves.

i think Kyle knows he can scheme guys on offense. We'll likely try to bring in some talent but hopefully with the long deals Lynch and Shanahan have they're thinking long game.

Sure was tired of seeing Beatha getting burned every other play. His best days are behind him.
Wonder eho is next? Brooks? Brock?
Well the young guys should all get a shot at playing next year.

I think they may keep both since they have the cap room and Brooks and Brock are scheme fits. Bethea wasn't performing well or for the price and Smith wasn't either and wasn't a great fit for Kyle's offense.
No reason to cut those guys now if they fit the scheme. Can always cut them in camp if they don't play up to expectations.
Sounds like Cousins may be traded for sooner rather than later. Skins beat guy saying it's 90% at least to happen in the next few days.
I hope if it does happen it doesn't cost much. The more I think about it the less leverage Redskins have and we don't need to win right now. Hopefully Kyle's attachment to Kirk doesn't push us to help the Skins.
I'd rather roll with Hoyer this year and look at draft or Cousins/Garoppolo in FA next year.

Whatever picks they'd give up now for Cousins could be used to draft defensive players. Build the defense through the draft/FA first imo. I trust Shanahan can do more with less on offense (for now) but will need more talent on the defensive side.

Cousins…do not want, at all. He is god awful but can stat pad with the best of them. I know Shanahan is into which you should trust as he's supposedly the offensive guru…but still, seen way too much garbage accuracy and laying down by dude.
Still lol when I think we have John lynch as GM. GTFOH.

More #49ers news: #Bills WR Marquise Goodwin is headed to the #49ers. Kyle Shanahan loves speed.
At least Hoyer will have people to throw to now?

The rebuild is on!!!
Not a Hoyer fan but he's better then Schuab. Hopefully we can still get Cousins or draft a QB to develop.
Goodwin had more production then Torrey Smith and is faster. Could be our Taylor Gabriel.

Not pro bowlers by any stretch but I like where they're going. Hoyer is a good stop gap until the draft or sign a QB next year.
Goodwin and Garon already better than what we had the past two years. Draft a guy like Corey davis and it's not a bad WR corp.

Oh chit Lynch wasn't kidding. I get off a conference call and we've got a QB and another WR.
I like it so far, nothing ground breaking and can't imagine the money is huge for any of these guys but it gets us a "capable" starter at the very least. Also ups our leverage in the Cousins trade talks.

Heard Niners are favorites to sign Kyle Juszczyk also. I like the idea of having a FB again. The smart route imo was sign guys on offense and focus on a defensive draft and it looks like that's what lynch is doing… I'd still want Hightower though lol

Hmmm….. Not sure what to think?
1. Familiar with Shanahan
2. Veteran who has been to some really good places and some really bad places…lots of knowledge to share with young players from his days with the Pats…and the other chit franchises he's been with.
3. Shouldn't cost a ton. The idea that Glennon is possibly getting $13-15 mil per season is crazy. We'll see the Hoyer numbers but can't imagine he's even close to that.
4. Signing him doesn't change much in terms of us looking for a young QB to groom for the future or even trading for Cousins, however it does give us a lot more leverage with Cousins trade talks.
5. Hopefully he's not good enough to push us out of getting one of the top guys next draft

Hoyer will be a good stop gap. No reason to go after Cousins. He will be a FA next year, so why give anything up for him? Redskins have absolutely no leverage. I'm sure we'll draft a guy or two to develop and see where we are next yr.

Man…it's funny how a few years ago Trent Baalke looked like a stud GM.
Dude looks like a complete jackass now.
His drafts have completely gone to chit and his best picks either retired early or screwed over their careers with suspensions.
I had such high hopes for that 2014 draft too…we had 12 picks when it was said and done and I thought we friggin killed it.
Loved the Ward, Hyde, Borland, Ellington, Thomas, Lynch and Millard picks.
Now we'll be lucky if Ward, Hyde and Lynch are guys we can still build around.
2013 was another dude. Reid looks like a one year wonder. Tank sucks and never did chit. I still like Vance but he needs to get those hands right. Patton who I thought was terrific value never did chit. Lattimore
When Vance McDonald and Quinton Dial are your best picks that's a bad draft.

Sounds like we're signing Kyle Juszczyk.
That kid is a stud. Curious to see how we'll use him. Easy name to spell.

Never a bad thing when you sign arguably the best player in his position.
Not that it matters but I wonder what the cap will look by tomorrow. Won't be surprised to see more cuts either.
