Great game, terrible performance/tech side.
3900x, 32gb 3200mhz ram, rtx 3080.. frames are garbage as I'm used to 100fps at 3440x1440.
Can't hit that target.. regardless of settings I get dips into the 60s, with RTX on the fps eats chit even harder going into the 20s/30s in some areas.. horrendous. This is with DLSS on.
Had to turn rtx off, dlss to performance and everything on high with a 60fps cap to make it bearable. Bugs galore too.
Was so hyped… and I'm loving the game.. but this needed at least another 6 months to polish up.. low frames, npcs flying off into space mid cutscene, people driving invisible cars, main characters phasing through walls and floors during dialogue.
Put 10 hours into it so far.

Played for about 5 hours last night.
- even outside in very dense areas i never dropped below 60 fps. Plsying with everything ultra and RT on st 3440x1440.
- it can't be said enough how fking good the game looks
- play with a good headset because the game sounds as good as it looks
- it's by far the most immersive feeling city that I've ever played
- zero crashing, no major bugs at all, some very minor ones that had no effect at all on gameplay or progression
- haven't gotten too far into the actual main story. Literally just got to the point of meeting Dexter. I can't help but just spend 90% of my time walking around sight seeing. Basically every square foot of the city (at least in Watson so far) has something new/interesting to see or explore.
- news stations, ads, etc, add a level of immersion no other game did as well on imo. I found myself at one point sitting in an elevator for like 5 minutes literally watching the news because what they were talking about was actually interesting and not something generic
- overall level of thought/detail they put into the world is unbelievable

I haven't dipped below 60fps at all with everything ultra and RT on with DLSS only set to quality, which is basically the lowest setting for DLSS (doesn't render from such a low resolution which makes quality like 100% identical to native with DLSS off). That's with an EVGA 3080 FTW3, 32gb memory, Ryzen 3600X.

According to Morgan, Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 looks very blurry, running between 720p and 900p resolution, and the framerate for any driving around the big city areas is constantly at around 20. While some indoor battles run well at 30fps, they can drop to 25fps. Framerate drops are one thing, but there's also hitching - big hiccups in the action where a new object or texture needs to load in. This can make it a challenge to shoot or drive.

Went Nomad for the first playthrough and I'm liking it. Only played a short bit this morning as I need to goto work but I can tell this game is going to be awesome. Is it just me or is there spiked dildos everywhere lol. I thought character creation was good but thought it would have more options for each category to be honest. Went with the big donger cause I wanna know what it feels like to be Proudmanlet.
Also, it looks and runs great so far on Xbox SX. I tried switching between quality and performance mode and that quality mode is brutal at locked 30fps and to my eye doesn't appear all that much better in terms of image quality but I haven't roamed the city just yet. Performance mode though seems to run really well and still looks great to me.

Fukkin lol at the penor being circumcised impacting romantic stuff, might ahve to re-make my character now cause I wasn't even thinking that hard about it when I chose it ayy lmao
Went with corp as well but kinda having second thoughts, might wanna go nomad idk, have to research a bit. Better to figure this all out now instead of after you've sunk 10's of hours into a character

I still had high hopes in the built-up to the release it would be fine but it seems it's very clearly the most inferior version of the lot lol (Xbone S)
(inb4 PC masterrace, I'm fine with playing a lesser version on console, but it shouldn't be day and night)
I just got back from the store, picked up my LE copy (**** is massive, had to walk home some miles carrying that huge box like a retard lmfao)
but while I was there I put myself on the Series X waiting list, they had no idea when I would get my console though so could take a while
so in the meanwhile I'm just gonna leave it on the shelf, when I get my XSX I'll play my copy and by then a lot of bugs will be patched out for sure

Ran into an annoying as fuk bug in main mission lol …. Wouldnt actvate the next sequence, had to reload to an older save and start it all over again. That's probably the worst bug I've come across, everything else feels fine, few bugs here and there but nothing detrimental.
Also I've played both Nomad and Corpo paths …. Seems like a bit of a waste? I was thinking it'd be extremely different/changing but its just 20 mins of fluff to get to the same exact point … I guess it just affects different dialogue choices at times. I thought coming into Night City as a nomad would be an incredible experience but you end up in the city the same way more or less.
Everything else is amazing, the PC has a population density and it's insane, actually feels like a proper city .. I dont think there are many peds while you're driving, but you get more cars and when you're on foot seems like you see a lot of peds. I also turned off RTX, honestly I dont think I saw too much of a difference between off vs on (only difference was seeing reflections across the water, the water looks really bad , so the rtx reflections on the water changed it completely, but as far as lighting went I honestly didnt see too much of a difference to my eyes and I'll take the performance gain.
I'm tryna spec into a shotgun build, I didnt really like the feel of melee, but i'm sure it's more fun once you unlock different perks for it.

seen on youtube vid of some dude pulling off over 30fps at 900p on low settings using 10 year old i3 CPU, so optimization doesn't look as bad as it seems.

This game is honestly really making me wanna go buy a 3080 next week lmfao …. But my 2060 is actually doing an amazing job that I'm more than fine waiting for a 3080ti.
Credit has to be given to CDPR for what I assume is pretty good "optimization" in that sense by allowing quite a range of gfx cards to be able to run this at decent settings. PS5 and series x really need to offer some incredible next gen upgrades because otherwise I cant reccomend it to anyone on console, PC is the way to go for this game.
Btw have you tweaked around with the RTX quality settings? I had mine on medium but honestly didnt see a difference going from high to pyscho … I dunno if thats anything related to my gfx card since its an older rtx card or I'm either blind.

Full RTX enabled with medium RT lighting on Medium/High settings tanks fps hard but DLSS brings it back up but it's still below 60fps.
So I've turned RT off for now and use the Auto DLSS option on high/ultra settings, I'm getting 80-100fps
Love the fact that there are so many DLSS options to choose from - Auto, Quality, Performance and Balanced are all good, the other two look horrible unless you're playing at 4k or 8k lol
One thing's for sure …DLSS is an absolute game changer.
