I have the CMMG kit and have shot the hell out of it. I've had lots of problems with ammo getting jammed up in the mags (I have the orange follower mags). They seem to have gotten better with use. Lubing the mag channel made them jam more. Keeping them clean and dry helped.

It's a good kit, definitely recommend. Easy to clean and disassemble. Which is nice since suppressed .22 LR is dirty as hell.

…what I am referring to is the democrat votes coming from Illinois having more weight at the federal level.

We all get more control laws at the federal level as IL's population is higher.

I did some running around today to get the rest of what I need for my AR build, but I ended up not having the right punches at home to tap pins in. Plus I don't have the right sized Allen key for the pin in the Aero lower. I'll have to wait for Monday when I go in to work and I can grab some tools from my box.

I did order a Magpul fore grip and their gen 2 MS4 sling, along with some more mags from Brownell's. My STR stock has provisions for one of the QD ends, and I bought a BCM M Lok adapter for the front for the other QD.

Its a bummer when you have to wait because you don't have something you didn't know you needed. Had that happen a bunch.

I remember when I got my first AR stuff. I stayed up and put it together the same day I got it. I was like a kid on Christmas.

Possibly the least likely to get fuked, comply decision right now is to destroy the brace, do a normal form 1 SBR submission, and set the <16" barrel upper aside until you get the stamp (if you want to go full R you could disassemble it or remove the barrel and store parts in different places or some silliness)

And if you cannot get an SBR form due to state laws/whatever admit to yourself that you were loopholing around the SBR law and put the 16" barrel on]

Or do your own thing whatever IDGAF

I’ma keep the brace on until I can’t anymore.

Then I’ll probably keep the upper at work and figure out what to do with the brace…if it gets that far.

saw a clip from one of the well known guys on youtube who was at shotshow and his buddy was a lawyer and went up to the ATF to clarify what he can tell his clients regarding this rule and basically calling their bluff. TL;DR

Lawyer: " so the 88day denial rule (there is a new provision that if the request is not approved within 88 days it will be considered denied)…what happens when if said millions of ppl submit and its impossible to approve within 88 days and they all get denied?"

ATF: "they will be subject to enforcement"

Lawer: sooo its a trap….walks away.

you're essentially incriminating yourself (because they are trying to slip in this retro-active rule - even though when you bought it you were 100% within the law). You are telling them you now own an "illegal" firearm. Not only are you proving you own it….you are giving them photo evidence, fingerprints, where you live, etc. All the info they need to "enforce" and prosecute you. Just lol

Thinking of getting a Trijcon TA-02 4x32 LED version or aimpoint Micro T-2…..hell might get both and run them together . Never a bad thing to have an Aimpoint Micro in the arsenal to slap onto anything/everything.

The 4x32 thing that some people don't like is the very short eye relief.
