That is it’s final device it has to be latching onto to deliver greatness. Like they need to bombard us with crazy visuals and insanity synced to the perfect music. There needs to be a series of exotic feeling music video esque action sequences like an action movie on steroids.

Gonna play it some more the technical achievement of the piece is enough for now, hoping for the best.

The sound design is amazing. That first scene in the club (going street) really made you feel like you were in a loud ass establishment.

Driving is impossible with a keyboard. It's def not Far Cry in the vehicles department.

Am I the only one who thinks it's perfectly fine? I've noticed nothing weird or clunky about it, on PC at least. No one else here at work playing it said anything about it. Driving could be better, but it doesn't bother me. I'd rather walk than drive anyway.
Gunplay feels fine too.

I think the walking movement is just very realistic, what isn't realistic is your camera remaining totally flat and level when you're walking around. CDPR makes you feel each step, not like you're seeing through the perspective of a rail-mounted camera

That’s real life though. One of the local news people here does that all the time. Also speaks perfect English with no accent and if she says a word like Latino or something, she’ll be sure to add an accent to it. Irritating a bit tbh.

I don't understand why you still bought it knowing you would whine about something we knew wasn't absolutely perfect about before launch.

I've literally not ran into anything major or even remotely close to major. You can't release a game this big on so many platforms and have it perfect at launch. You do realize they don't spend the entire time the game is in development just working out bugs…right? That comes at the very end once the entire game is basically done. ogod I love being a combat hacker. Got a nice cyberdeck after racking up cash from doing side hustles + hacking access points, crafted me some nice quickhacks and now I can do **** like rendering enemies unable to move or use their weapons.

Music is nice. Gunplay is a wonky piece of chit. Driving on mouse+keyboard is also very annoying. I'm a little underwhelmed to be honest. I'm gonna keep playing it but I'll be taking a lot of breaks between gameplay sessions.

I dunno. Haven't done any besides the training with the Katan, which felt just fine to me.
Gunplay is surprisingly good IMO for a studio that has never made a shooter. I've played games from studios who do way more shooters with far worse gunplay. Guess some people expected Call of Doody or something lmao.

I enjoy the game so far. Doesnt change the fact that it looks and plays poorly compared to other top games coming out.

It's a massive effort and serious undertaking. Ubisoft for example has waaay more employees than CDPR does and it still takes a good few years to create an Assassin's Creed WITH recycled assets from the previous game.

Looks like I’m passing on this game for now. Was pretty excited but it’s clear the game is unfinished and needs serious polishing and is unplayable on base current gen consoles. Have no plans to get a ps5 until a better backlog of games show up later next year so will pick this up then for the ps5

i guess. so annoying lol. i guess all people that speak a second language do that. i've seen french people do that too. haven't seen asian people do it

it's pretty intense.

it's just right. like it's risky, cause ur goin against guns, but melee hits the hardest. i'm playing on hard and I have to use cover and hacking, cause if I go out in the open i'm dead, cause bullets. but it hits hard, u can decapitate people with one hit easy if u use a sword, unless they block ur attack then ur ****ed lol. i use a katana and I was slicing and slicing then dude blocked and I was like oh **** lol

Pretty basic, seems like Witcher 3 in FPS form lol. Can sidestep, lunge forward, power attack, parry, counter attack. Cyberware upgrades should enable more options tho and should feel powerful if you go Body/Reflexes.

I pretty much just use the katana, I'm on normal difficulty though so I can just rush them a bit easier.

Nades or hacks then just slice them up it's pretty basic like and I'm early in the game so haven't fought many tougher enemies.

yea i think melee would be too easy on normal. but i'm also early in the game.

I was finding melee pretty satisfying last night, with the block + counter moves and side-stepping by double tapping the arrow key

Also I found if you dispose of bodies after a fight you get stealth exp regardless of how you killed them. There will be a skyrim like dagger crafting thing I'm sure

So seems like this game should have never released for the non pro versions of the previous consoles. 15fps with trash graphics on a ps4/xbox1 shouldn't net this game a 9/10+ on those platforms

It deserves a 5/10 on those platforms on performance alone

Sure 9+/10 on pc (i'd argue an 8 in its current buggy mess of a state) but the fact is they actively chose to release this on those consoles and it doesn't run on them. at all.

They should have released in on PC only and released everything else in a more polished state at a future date and they don't deserve a free pass because it's a beautiful, albeit unoptimized and buggy, game on a rtx 3080/3090

Sure you can say "oh well you're an idiot if you buy this game on a base ps4". 1) i didn't. 2) the dev is responsible for the product they put forth. What they put forth on consoles is embarrassing.
