Hate to agree with PimpC but he’s right.

ProTip: the gain from 27,000 to 30,000 is only 11%

This is textbook market behavior from 2017/2018. BTC starts to run up > alt coin holders abandon their positions to buy BTC. BTC pumps faster while the ALTs bleed out then whales dump their gains on retail FOMOers.

I’ve been wrong before but I would be downright shocked if BTC blew the top off 30,000 and continued to run up. Now is the time to get your favorite altcoins on “end of year clearance sale”

Alt season is definitely not far. Alt bagholders REEEEEing all over the shop. BTC.d at historical resistance that it has broken down from like 3 times.

You can already see some alts starting to move big.

ETHBTC putting in a bounce just as I posted this. This is around the time to be loading up ****coins.

Awarding guys on DFD. Price has been going sideways for a while. You can buy on Uniswap but you have to put the ETH contract in yourself.

It's actually pretty cool to have been in this for awhile now and to see the comments on here now versus when this happened at 20k. The euphoric comments are virtually the same. It feels good to be more experienced this time around.

Anysolidalt-project that's down considerably from its normal trading range. Look at the 1month charts of various altcoins and whichever ones look suspiciously low. That's what you buy. Personally I try to stick to the top 15 or 20. That said, it appears some people are already buying the dip on alts and pumping them again.

Can confirm. I did ALL the wrong things, but mostly chasing pumps/buying-high.

The other usual suspect I have to stop myself from cringing at is when guys come in here with the "GUYS! Check out this project! iT HaZ thE bEsT adVIsory BoaRD/TeaM I'vE EVarrr SeeN"

Quite literally, every schit pumpNDump coin from 2017 had some "team" that involved a software developer, CTO, or Marketing person that worked for a fortune 100 company on the "our team" pages and people used that to schill the likelyhood of the coin going 100X.

Everyone wants to throw 2k at a project today, and have it go 100X next week. Nobody wants to accumulate at the bottom and wait. Bitcoin's median price from April to October was $9,000~. 7 fuking months to accumulate. If one had put $1,000 into BTC each month from April to October theyd be looking at roughly $20,000 in their portfolio with 7k investment. Investing like a boomer in the crypto space will give insane returns. Just need patience. I'm not expecting any meaningful move in XRP until summer 2021 srs, but when it does move...

That's how I'm looking at things, but I do invest in high risk projects.

I'm hoping that by the end of 2021 I'm pumping my fist in the air, and screaming the house down.

If this is anything like 2017 it's going to be pretty difficult to lose. I ~50x'd my money that year, cashed out a sizeable sum, and the bear market has also taught a valuable lesson in taking much more profit when the market is hot towards the end of the post halving year, and re-entering later.

The way I'm playing it is this:

1) Majority alts through spring 2021
2) Majority BTC in Q3 to ride it's surge to the cycle peak (~$200k is my guess)
3) Majority alts for the final alt season

If you even clock a 3x very conservatively in each of these, you've made a killing.

These are smaller scale tips, but they do pay off if you're into making 5-10% short term flips:

1. BAT frequently cycles up and down between .19 and low .20s. It takes just a very small fluctuation to make a 10% flip here if you buy in at .19/.20.

2. AAVE frequently cycles between the mid 70s and mid 80s. Again, this sets up 5-10% flips nicely.

If you can go in with a few grand per buy-in, 5-10% adds up quickly. Fees are relatively low on Gemini if you request 'active trader' classification, which is free and only takes a request email to obtain.

Before the bull run I'd have said get one BTC first to hold for good, then get into other coins. Now I'd probably suggest try to own .25-.5 BTC then get into alts.

looks like XRP made a higher low from the SEC dump bottom. But i'm afraid any positive move from here can easily be negated by news of more exchanges halting trading like it happened on friday. Interesting times until this mess gets sorted.
