It did. It's based off one of its predecessors, ref #14270. That one was a 36mm, the 2016 model is a 39mm.

New daytonas appear at baselworld, like many predicted.

cerachrom stainless models and new dials for white and yellow gold.

the white cerachrom stainless looks amazing. looks like a zenith daytona dial with black cerachrom bezel.

That new explorer is ****ing amazing. Rolex and Tudor are killing it so far this year. Is omega doing anything worthwhile??

Agreed. The short hands on the previous Explorer 1 was a big complaint on the forums. (not from me, I still love it regardless).

Just when I thought I narrowed down my next purchase, Rolex has to go and update the classics….

The hands were waaaaaaay too short. IIRC, Rolex used the ref #14270 hands on the 39mm Explorer. It wasn't a good idea, obviously.

How did Tudor/Rolex of all brands miss the ball so hard on the endlinks?
came to post this. Mirin that new explorer hard af too. Loving this new black bay all black so hnggg. One thing that stopped me from licking up a black bay before was the end links and how they match the bracelet, this is worse, but it looks great on the strap.

it probably wont, the new daytona will just be more expensive until they eventually stop making the 116520

I've been wearing a watch every single day for the past 19 years, but I haven't put one on my wrist in over four months. IDK, it's not even weird anymore but it's a way to force myself to work harder until I can afford an Omega. My parents wanted to buy me one for graduation last year but I refused since it's a purchase I want to make on my own.
BTW, the Omega posted above is so fking hnnnnngggggggg/10. Looks like an art piece.

Just take the damn gift, son. It's not everyday your parents offer you something as nice as an Omega.

UK Price:

Old Daytona RRP: 7,950
New Daytona RRP: 8,250.

Not sure how that will translate over to US but expect around $300-500 retail more than the 116520

It's been reported as 11,800 CHF which equals $11,200. I hope it's not much more than that.

nywatchstore is having a sale at the moment if anyones interested. Mainly fashion watches but they've got a few Casio's, Citizens and Seiko's on sale.
It's absurd to worry about what other people think about you because they almost never do. Like you, they are too busy thinking about themselves and how much they think other people are thinking about them.

I love it. But, for the style of watch I think it's slightly too big. 36-39mm would have been perfect. Assuming it's the 41mn I heard it is.

Yeah it was off the original bracelet. It was a pain in the ass but I had to cut the rubber strap end so I could retrofit it on.

So the Daytona came with a glidelock? I'm on the waitlist for the ceramic, and when looking at the specs, its says it comes with the easy link clasp.

I don't think that's the glidelock. I think it is the easy link. Pretty sure only the sub, sd, and dssd have the glidelock, though it's an amazing clasp they should use on all of their sports models. Best clasp on the market.

Just saw the air king is actually 40mm. Not too bad, using the milgauss case.
