Been out of the country and out of cellular range for the week and was disappointed to find that Basel world started without me.

Inb4 watch pics, I took none. Was too busy taking pics with my slr. Didn't think about watch pics.

Shame on yooouuuu. I'll dump some pics of my trip soon. I just arrived back home today, had 20 parcels waiting on me

Thanks for the info. I guess the biggest issue coming up is actually getting your hands on one. ( unless you deposited/wait listed:/ )

Will you like the look after you inevitably smack your wrist onto a metal door frame and have a nice, deep scratch exposing the steel underneath your tacky gold? 100% srs, and primarily why I advise people to not purchase anything gold plated.

ML is not very respected in the watch community. They are overpriced (clearly, seeing as how they are charging 450 for a low end quartz) and try to come off as a fashion brand with a little more spunk because they use some out-of-house swiss ETA movements. They remind me of Raymond Weil.

Good alternatives are:
Fredrique Constant
Christopher Ward

I have my deposit in, #1 on the list (according to the owner). We'll see what that actually means though. If I can get one this year I think that will be a success. I think the demand is going to be otherworldly.

My apologies if I'm not allowed to post asking for purchase help.

I'm looking for a 40mm black watch in the style of submariner for less than $500.

Thanks! Will rep for life.

Just want to add that you may want to look at a Chris Ward C60 if you're okay with the used market.
Also the Orient Mako is a great choice for your needs.

Where is a good and safe place to buy used? I worry about replicas.

In that price range I wouldn't be so concerned with replicas, as far as i know i've never seen a replica for any of those types of watches, maybe on a grand seiko but they cost as much as a Rolex.

If you decide to go Steinhart or Helson just order directly from the website.

my boss was going to go trade in 3 of his watches at Mayors to put toward a Patek. I stopped him and told him I will match Mayor's trade in price. Should be able to sell 2 of the 3 and make back all of my money.

Damn looks so good on the rubber strap!

The fact that you can keep the easy link makes it perfect. I have heard Everest straps are good too, slightly different thickness and look (no homo)

Also is that your artwork In the background? If so, Can you tell me some details about it? It looks great.

Top 5 laundry detergents in the game (don't judge my opinion):

1.Tide (delivers a clean and fresh style of)
2.Oxi clean (attacks dry stains like a monster)
3.all (deserves a spot in the top 5 but not the best)
4.wisk (I respect the stain spectrum tech. But needs to fight harder for that top 3)
5.purex (up and coming in the game)

Steinhart pilot came in. Love this thing. I know they get a lot of flack for their homages, but this is a damn nice piece. Titanium case, domed sapphire crystal, eta 2824 for under $500. Tell me where to find a better deal than that?

The strap was terrible so I swapped it for a canvas and a pilot style strap. Also comes in a 44mm size, this one being 47.

Its actually a RubberB, not an Everest, but same thing :P

Yeah I actually posted it a while back, just some different stuff I make while bored. I have all those watches so I make PopArt of what I have because I couldn't find anything that I liked.
