Yeah, Nintendo has it really hard. Release a tiny ass game (in comparison) on one platform. This game is leaps and bounds bigger than anything Nintendo has ever done, and released on, what, 4…5…? platforms at one time?

Reading the base PS4 reactions, it's pretty clear it was a mistake to release the game for current gen. PC and next gen players could've had a fully polished game, now everyone gets rough edges AND PS4/Xbox One players are disappointed with what they got. CDPR would've eventually gotten the money anyways as people upgraded over time… they wanted everything upfront, and now they'll waste a ton of development time not only fixing up the game but making it functional for current gen.

Sucessfully* release a game on one platform. This game didn’t on any

Bigger doesn’t mean better lol. It’s not a better game than any of Nintendo’s top 5 games when you consider the era the games were released in. It’s not even a top 50 GOAT metacritic game. 9/10 game sure. Not a 10/10

I understand that this game is the pinnacle of human achievement to you but it’s not the greatest game ever released.


The game looks great and I’ll play it in a few months when I either get a 3080/90 and bugs are fixed or the ps5 release comes out but I’ll poop on it rightfully so

Dunno. Haven't played enough yet to come to that conclusion. I also don't think it's "the goat game" at this time. But it's better than anything else that has came out in the last several years as far as what I'm interested in personally.

Damn Mane. This should have been Next Gen launch game, while releasing past gen later on.

I'm gonna pick it up, but I may not touch the game until the release the Next Gen update. It really shouldn't take all that long if they water it down from PC.

I can imagine it would be a disaster if they said “we can’t get the game to a playable state on the original consoles. We will focus on pc/ps5/xb1x for the time being and in a year we’l release for older consoles” so it is what it is. the weird thing about that though is that the ps5 and x1xers would also have to wait because right now they are also playing the base version, but on the new hardware. So everyone would be waiting except pc

I'm not having issues on the pc

I noticed the game can hiccup if you didnt overclock your ram as it tends to love low latency but with my setup I'm getting great fps

With that said I'm not far along enough in the game to notice the glitches ppl are talking about

im not even getting the negative feedback for this game lol. i haven't ran into anything that's like "aw this game is a flop" yet… i've seen flops…

though there's things i don't like, it's not like flop material. I don't like the dialogue so far lol, that's probably my main gripe. the writing or characters aren't interesting so far, maybe when we see that judy HBB hnngg. but these things can't be compared to the witcher I think cause the witcher has strong literature material.

PS4 and Xbox one players, how do you feel right now? Have you had a chance to really dig in or are you still at work? What do you think about the graphics/performance? What is the fun factor for you so far? How would you say this game compares graphically to HZD or whatever the really pretty looking Xbone game is supposed to be?

I have not made it far prob like an 1.5 hours in, but the only glitches i've experienced was the regular people (npc) standing still and repeating the same movements over and over.

game is utter dogchit on PS4

developers should be ashamed of themselves

is nowhere near PS4 exclusives, wait till the "real" PS5 version is out

first time ive refunded a game on launch day srs

my PC needs an upgrade too

If you already got it on discount (pre-order discount) might as well keep it because they are going to upgrade you for free anyway. I'd be more afraid if they suddenly price the ps5/seriesx game at $69.99 like all the new games are priced.

Witcher also had three iterations to hone things, everything improved from Witcher 1 > 2 > 3. By the time 3 hit, they had that chit down pat

Still mind blown at the ambitiousness of their move to Cyberpunk 2077

Honestly seems kinda amazing the game is playable in any state on a fukn 7 year old console, considering how demanding this beast is on hardware

I see people trying to compare it to other PS4 games that had better textures etc, but none of those games come close to the same level of density and chit happening on the screen. This cannot be at all compared to something like TLOU2

Yeah. Last gen consoles, including Pro and One X are truly 100% sh|t tier by all hardware standards today. Lmao

You could build a pretty low end PC, play the game on medium settings, and it would look and run WAY better than one of the last gen consoles. It really isn't that demanding of a game on PC when you take RT out of the picture and start looking at medium settings at 1080p. And still looks really stunning, even more so compared to console version.

Also this. You can make a game like that look much better, much easier, and way easier to optimize. Open world is extremely taxing on hardware.

it literally looks like a PS3 game mate

Some Performance tweaks for PC players

- Get Windows ultimate performance - run cmd as admin - powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

- Disable all that Xbox Game Bar crap (it affects your fps all)

- Use Texture Filtering in Performance (Nvidia CP setting)
- Set Low Latency to On - Reported to boost fps slightly (Nvidia CP setting)

- Game should be run As Admin and Disable optimizations

- Borderless seems to perform a bit better tho higher fps may vary.


And some quality of life changes -
