Finally got my light from Primary Arms. I don't know why this took so long from them, along with a package I'm still waiting on from Brownell's.

(Working in the machining industry I've seen way more complicated forgings that cost even less with high enough quantities like they're buying in.) The most expensive thing in the entire optic is the glass. All in, I guarantee you they make an ACOG for sub $250 easily. (100% srs)

There are far more advanced optics on the market than ACOGS. If no one else in the optic game is making them, it's because they probably don't think Trijicon is selling enough outside of military contract to even bother with it. Anything patent related on ACOG's have been up a long ass time ago. If anyone thought the market was there for it, good ACOG clones would already be a thing. I highly doubt ACOG's are a great seller at all. If not for mil purchases, I'm sure they would have been discontinued a long time ago.
LPVO's beat the pants off of an ACOG in every way unless you need your LPVO to survive using it as a hammer, etc. In that case the ACOG would still be better.

So I’ve just seen ballistic/chronograph tests on a 110g V-max 300blk round @ poured to 2200-2400 ft/sec absolutely wrecks and penetrates to perfection out to 100-200m. Yea a varmint round. At that speed is havoc. I’ve found my CQB of choice…250ct coming in to try.
I still need to find a good hunting round which will prob be the gold standard Barnes tac-tx.
And I need to find a solid sub to run for HD.
When the time comes I’m getting a can. What’s the go to cans for 300blk? Heard amazing things about surefire and their durability. Any models recommendations?

A couple of weeks ago, I was shooting steel at 300 off a bench. With the time of day and shadows, I could hardly make out the target with a vortex SPARC. With the ta44, no problem

Honestly these days none of the big names are making "bad" suppressors. For 99.9% of people, any one of them is going to last your entire life, and whoever's life you hand it over to once you're dead and gone if you aren't using it for full auto use…
Everyone seems to be generally on the same level technologically when it comes to suppressors. The biggest push I see now is how to keep them quiet with blow through designs to reduce back pressure.
Even cheap YHM suppressors are going 50-70K rounds before needing to be re cored…
