LOL, pretty sure I was on other side of argument to you in the Cringy Gym culture **** thread. YOu came to the Misc to talk about lifting? Hate to break it to you but you're doing it wrong.

How about I upload some pics. I haven't been exploring at all because I compete very soon i.e. Wednesday.

Left Toronto at 10am on July 3rd. Arrive in Gwangju, Korea pretty much at July 5. View from room that glowing orb is the main stadium

Next morning different part of the building pretty nice view. Noticed that a lot of buildings has grass on their roof.

After coming back from breakfast I noticed this sign. Canada has one of the largest overall teams at these games and we're all in one building. It's fun interacting with other athletes.

This is the practice facility at a physical education high school. They had better facilities then some Canadian colleges. This circle was recent and very dusty not a pleasant practice for myself also felt like sh*t too.

After throwing teammates had to lift. I opted out because I wasn't feeling too hot. Found this machine. You flip a switch and the drum spins and it acts like a roller. Does a much better job too. I want one now.

Day #2 in Korea and I'm feeling better. Much better training session which makes me happier which means better comp hopefully.

Later that day we wanted to check out the main stadiums because we had to train in a different stadium while our teammates practiced outside the main stadium.

Bad shot but it's the games banner

Cont'd next post…

This was the practice field outside the main stadium and this is the throwing circle outside the main stadium. No one is allowed to throw here which is bullsh*t because this circle and the stadium circle are the same while the practice ones are completely different. It makes a difference.

Now we head into the main stadium. The slogan "Light Up Tomorrow" is based off the city nickname of City of Lights

This stadium was built for the 2002 World Cup. There are still banners and what not from the event seen here. The stadium is used by Gwangju FC in the Korea Soccer League

Inside the stadium. It holds just under 45,000 people not the biggest but it's a cool stadium by the design.

Taking a very slow lap around the stadium taking it all in and what not and seeing what they did to prep for the games.

They had the opening ceremonies a few days prior and apparently it was a mess. They also tore up the sod and laid down new sod in 2 days since a Korean soccer team may make the finals where they'd host the final game here.

Random shot of the stands

This U is the logo for the games. I'm not sure if it lights up and what not but I hope it does because that would be cool. Come on Korea don't disappoint me
