pics of doggo or gtfo.

Got an update when i went to the vet on the pupper i found, he is an intentional mixed breed called a texas heeler. (aussie shepherd X Aussie Heeler). makes me think of tweed and Jessie, his heeler, wonder how that dude is doing.

having some issues that i dont think are resolvable unless the dogs work it out, but he seems to be more dominant than my other dog, which i dont like because im partial to the other dog, so i dont like seeing him get "punked" by a 3 month old puppy, but the dynamic may change as he grows older. it seems like they are kind of beefing for the beta spot in the pack, obvi wifey and I are the alphas as we should be. oh well dogs gonna dog. been consuming TONS of literature on integrating a dog into your pack and not disturbing the existing dynamic.

right now his biggest issue is that he barks, like i mentioned. hes pretty smart and he has picked u commands like sit, laydown, and hes doing ok with leave it, and seems to understand that potty indoors is a big no-no. he did growl at me for taking his toy this morning so i had to re-establish myself as the leader (making sure i eat before him, i go in and out of doors before he does, not allowing him near the food when im eating, taking his toys away when were done playing, etc.) he gets it most of the time, so idk if its puppy behavior or pack mposition behavior, but i think cuse he was stray hes kind of insecure so trying to rehab him into a happy and confident doggo.

Australian Cattle Dogs (the heelers) are highly intelligent and need a great outlet for that intelligence. You often see them going every where with their owners head hanging out of the truck. I had one for a few years and she had issues with barking, and being SO VERY possessive over me. She hated other people being around me, I could never take her to a dog park, and I tried so hard to train her to walk on a leash properly. I think she needed more than I coud provide her in the form of lots of land to roam on and by being near her most of the day. I'm not saying don't give up but letting her run out some of that energy might help. They're great at agility courses and things that have them use their big brains.

thats
pretty much what i have read, he doesnt have all of his shots yet so i cant walk him or go to the dog park, but i play fetch and tug-of-war with him to get his energy out and make him do tasks in order to get ANYTHING (i.e. make him sit or lay down or stay before he gets fed, or gets water, or treats, or before we go through the front door) i brought him to work with me a few days out of the last week, but i made him stay home the last couple of days to work on seperation anxiety. generally the jealousy stems from pack position (ie the dog thinks he owns you not visa versa), and can be fixed by re-enforcing the structure with you as the leader. once hes able to go the dog park we'll be playing alot of frisby and stuff like that to keep his energy in check. i walk my otehr dog about 2 miles every morning when we wake up so i think getting him started with that will go along way to help with his energy.

Heelers are absolutely superb companions. Top tier doggo in my opinion along with the shepherd's, chows, retriever bloodlines, ect

if you google possessive dog or resource guarding dog there are tons of articles. p much it boils down to them seeing themselves as the pack leaders. you just have to reinforce that you are the alpha and they are to follow your lead. there's a bunch of simplistic things that we as humans think of as being selfish or mean, but they help the dog to understand his role, and based on p much every article I've read the dog is happier when they don't have to be the leader. small examples include making sure you eat before they do, making sure you go through a doorway first, making them follow you or walk at an even pace with you rather than walking ahead of you when leash walking, not allowing them to be on the same level as you physically (sleeping on beds and couches), never feeding them from your meal while they're begging or waiting for you to give them a hand out (take a piece and set it aside, later put it into their bowl which you are allowing them to have, vs them taking food directly from you and your meal, like you are submitting food to them), if you play games like tug-of-war when you are done playing you take the toy away because its still your toy which you allow him to play with. If theyre possessive over food and stuff towards humans you want to give them something better than what their eating by dropping it into their bowl or replaing the item with a better one so that they associate humans with good things. one of the examples commonly used is dropping pieces of chicken or steak into their bowl when you approch them as they are eating so that they learn that a human approaching doesnt mean that their food is being taken away, but that its about to get better. if its a toy you cn teach them the leave it and give it command. (leave it is to drop something they have or are being possesive over and walk away (think hovering over his food or picking up trash outside to eat, give it is to submit the item to you (think playing tug of war and you are done)

yessir, been a 24 hour fitness member. 11 years strong now lol

honestly thought about calling out of work this morning and heading down to luchas and getting their huevos rancheros burrito…but wasn't feeling bad enough to justify it lol. Might see how i feel tomorrow or friday…barring those, I'm heading down Saturday to get one for sure.

RE: the cottage cheese and unground coffee beans, I'm still disgust with it but reserving further judgement until i try it lol.

lmao @ cookies & cream. blend in a couple oreos and you won't even know. would have to replace cottage cheese with greek yogurt for that tho

brb imagining chowing down on whole coffee beans. wait didn't Costco used to have an assorted chocolate covered coffee bean platter? now I think of it it was actually pretty good…not sure how much of that was the chocolate tho

yea you can eat them, theyre just crispy like a roasted peanuts or something. no oil in them so they dont mash into a paste like peanuts do tho. (ohh man if lulbrah was here this would be a savage edit). theyre good covered in chocolate too, and they gve you a lil energy boost. i started using preworkout again maybe a month ago and can confirm my caffeine tolerance is fukin next leve again. brb 2 cups coffe+ monster in the am, pwo at night, sleep like a fookin baby at night. strong eveything. convinced pwo has way more caffeine and stims than advertised
