The part when you're in Lizzie's Bar talking to Evelyn in that private room…dunno why but that was an immersive scene to me. Dark room, just you and her, headset on listening to the conversation and sounds, etc…good chit all around. Just the resident CDPR nuthugger, but so far, they're killing it for me.

sounds like this game needed to be delayed another 6 months to fine tune it

It's crazy how incredible the experience is on PC and how terrible it is on consoles lmao.
I wish everyone was playing it and getting the experience I am because it's damn good.

Yea I agree. Does mean we can’t be drinking the CDPR koolaid anymore(holding back reviews on what they knew was trash). Corporations gonna corporation I guess.I hope they don’t reveal any trailers for their next game until it’s like a year away. To get away from the hype beast marketing.

But yea having a ton of fun on pc. No bugs of the non visual variety for me yet (mostly just clipping)

P.S. driving is heinous with a mouse and keyboard lol. I’m a half second away from a murder anytime I’m behind the wheel

I'm downloading this now. I will be running on an i9 9900k rig with an RTX 2080 Super. I'm thinking I should be able to set it to ultra with 1440 resolution.

I think a lot of peoples expectations were just way too high. The game was never going to live up to the hype after 8 years. Personally I’m really enjoying it myself. Only seen a few a few minimal bugs. Performance could be better with my higher end pc but very playable. I seen current gen consoles gameplay. Big oooooof, this game had no business running on those machines.

Gamers are cheap scrubs who paid $400 for an outdated console, what were they expecting? Who cares of the game was supposed to be made with that gen in mind.

That's how gamers typically are though, they expect great graphics and cheap hardware

They did a killer job making sure every neighborhood has something to do. And it's been a masterclass immersion-wise, it's not just that first person makes it better but they clearly craft animations that feel kinetic and mise-en-scenes that makes sense at the eye-level rather than through a third person camera.

Something I really don't like, though, is how the game evidently scales hard with levels just like Witcher 3 yet they took away the level displays so you don't know how over/underleveled you are when you enter into any given area. It's been kinda intuitive for me just because I played Witcher 3 inside out (and hasn't stopped me from doing some quests way underleveled) but it's probably ****ing frustrating for most people.

Driving is definitely difficult. Small movements left or right have a really dramatic effect at low speeds, it's seems easier to control if you just floor it and try to get going at a good clip as quickly as possible

Have only tried the default vehicle so far though, maybe vehicles handle drastically differently

It's like the driving in GTA IV except the steering is really sensitive. You can't honk your horn either.

Part of me wishes this was all in third person and had Sleeping Dogs melee and driving. hnnnnng

you haven't experienced drastic drops in the frame rate during combat and driving? no blurriness?

Am I the only one that finds driving on keyboard just fine?

I guess its probably because my sim racing fundamentals are so ingrained to me its easy to drive anything.

To me it was more difficult on controller because the turning was so sensitive but on the keyboard I can tap left and right for nuanced short burst of change in direction.

Driving when the right song on the right station hits is really cool.

I'm going to have to get a PC. Sony will never build a $1k console with top tier specs because gamers will complain.

Though I can't see why Sony doesn't build a $1k console and a $400 console

The only downside to PC is barely Sony exclusives
