Superman is white. Steel is black. If they want to make a movie about Steel, then a black actor fits the bill. If they want to make a movie about Clark Kent, aka Superman, then the actor should be white. Superman is white.

The left is trying to insert "diversity" (which just means "not white") into places wherein it serves zero logical purpose, other than to reduce the amount of white people (hint: because large portions of the left hate white people). So yes, explain to me what the benefit is of replacing a white actor who gets cast to play a historically/lore-friendly "white character" with a black person, an asian, or someone who is in fact, not white. The result is fukced up lore/stories having to be re-written so the fact that the character is now black can make sense. So, you can cast them as the race they were originally created as, or you can replace them with a non-cannon, non-historically accurate race and then re-write half the story, while trying to justify to your fan base why you meddled with a character they know and love. But yeah, tell me what the benefit is?

There's absolutely zero reason to bastardize an existing character by replacing it with "muh diversity", nor is there any reason to replace a known minority character with a white one. New characters are open season. Existing characters should remain canon.
