Actions have consequences. If you don't want problems with the police, don't stalk and touch schoolgirls. I have no idea why anyone would think that's an outrageous proposition but hey this is the Misc after all.

Heres my problem. Is it the actual touching people have a problem with or the narrative?

In the gif i posted the guy did the same thing. He actually touched him unprovoked , which by definition, is breaking the law.

Its the narrative that people dont agree with; which can be spun in anyway. The guy in the gif who touched his chest was secretly admiring from a distance. His burning passion kept him following his subject and is even worse because he was waiting for just the opportune moment. The guy had told him before he was not homosexual. When his back was turned and something surprising happened he was waiting in the wings and as his subject turned his bare chest to him, he seized the opportunity to graze and grab the private body part he was yearning for. Quickly he descended into the night.Oh and i bet that man will graze a million more bare chests in his lifetime.

Its what makes a guy having sex with his gf ok, but if they break up and the girl no longer likes him, its rape

Lets just get more declarative and outlining chit instead of leaving it up to these potentially unverified and made up happenings; i.e. the "narrative"

It’s not like this kid could have just gone into any number of professions. He’s dumb as rocks and/or autistic. Many of the type of jobs he could well have ended up doing, in my experience, would have required disclosure.

Anyhow, he’s now in a far, far worse spot. If he was truly dangerous you can expect him to go full supreme when reality hits him

Didn't read all 8 pages so not sure if thihs was answered, but it said he actually googled "How to make a friend." How did this become public knowledge. Did he go out of his way to tell law enforcement this, or was his act of simply touching the girl enough for the police to go check his internet history?

"Damned in eternity", no need to be a drama queen about this, I don't believe he is facing eternal life in the sky-daddy's torture chamber. Regardless, if a man doesn't want trouble with the police, he shouldn't stalk and touch schoolgirls. Should this guy be in the papers? Probably not, but those are the kind of unintended consequences that can happen for doing weird creepy things.

OK, so your problem is with how the police/CPS handled things, rather than the girl going to the police to protect herself?

If so, I respect that position, which is very different to most miscers. Most miscers ITT believe that the 17 year old girl was at fault for talking to someone in authority (her parents, and then the police).
Despite what you are saying, he will find it very difficult to get any public facing job whether it’s with vulnerable people or not. Do you think he is going to interview well enough for people to overlook a police caution? Really?
I don't know the kid.

And I don't trust his professed motives.

Nothing 'telling' about it, like I said... Replace every time I used the word grab, with touch, and nothing has changed in regards to my perspective.

I have no idea why you object to a 17 year old girl, going to the police, because a 19 year old boy has approached her in a secluded place on 2 seperate occasions and touched her in a frightening way. Especially after the first time she pulled away from him and said "Stop".

Like Anumber1 said... How did that guy make it through school, or have a job in a charity shop? If he didn't discern that approaching her a second time in a secluded area would be a bad idea?

That's why I think the story is bullchit...The kid is not literally autistic, but we are to believe that his 'anxiety' means that he has unable to understand basic social cues?(Like it's not a good idea to approach a girl in a secluded area and touch her, after the previous time she literally told you, "STOP!" and pulled away from when you previously touched her. In his brain he thought it was a good idea to approach her a month later... Despite not having a autism or Aspergers? I'm extremely skeptical.)

If he really is dumb enough (he's not literally autistic) that he didn't realize that what he did was a threatening pattern of behaviour to a 17 year old girl, who walks through secluded areas to get home, then he probably would have struggled to find sustained employment in any job involving interaction with people.

A caution (preventing some job opportunities), or not.

^no issue with her going to the police.. although she wasn’t sufficiently upset the first time to bother.

How it was dealt with from there (on what ACTUALLY happened not what he might have done) is ridiculous and out of all proportion. He’s 19 ffs. He might very well have turned into an unemployable shut in. He’s now very possibly a sociopathic misogynist and a bad day from being a serious danger to anyone in his vicinity.

If it's not telling of anything, might I ask you why you didn't just write "touch" in the first place? You either did it deliberately or unconciously. Knowing what I know of you (i.e. that you're a good guy), I don't think you'd do it deliberately. So that just leaves us with unconciously, which is suggestive that the narrative you constructed in your mind had this boy grabbing the girl.

And maybe it hasn't changed your perspective, but I sincerely hope you gave the issue it's due diligence. When a young boy's livelihood is on the line, I'd like to think you'd consider the details extremely important. There's a reason grab is not a synonym of touch, because it's a different action, and that has a bearing on the nature of the encounter. Ordinarily I would not give a FUK about such a detail, but like I said the boy was facing getting his life flushed down the toilet.

Well, I would argue that the issue you have now is that you're quite set on seeing him in a certain way. I have the same issue tbh, cept mainly in regards to the girl. In the spirit of honesty, I will admit that I have it in my head that the girl is likely a selfish, uncaring brat. I will fully admit I have ZERO hard evidence for this; it's just a gut feeling. But it is colouring my judgement.

Personally, I find it utterly bizzarre that all of ONE word was spoken over the course of the two incidents. Plus, her recounts just fascinate me - see below:

We go from"When it first happened I didn't think much of it. I forgot about it because I had my exams and just thought it was weird behaviour."

To"He smirked at me, he didn't stop he just touched me and walked off and I broke down crying - it was quite traumatic."

Why the seesaw from one extreme to another? She sounds very indifferent to the first incident, but the second incident is traumatic...? Like wtf? Sorry, but my gut feeling is telling me that something is off.

Unless she is legit traumatised, you'd think she could use a less extreme word? Scary? Very scary? Frightening? Anything is better than traumatic, ffs.

Anywhoo, i'll admit again that it's not hard evidence of anything, but it does bother me.

i just hope beta(asphuck) goes to make a move on a girl and she denies him and he goes to jail for 10 years LMAO

or better yet. she originally lets him do it, but then twists the story so that it appears she didn't want it

wonder if his boner pokes past his white knight armor then

wonder if he'd still agree with such justice

Fair enough point, regarding the difference between using the word grab rather than touch.
I have no idea why either, because I never said that at any point.

First incident (rightly so) can just be disregarded as weirdo trying to touch you, in an isolated incident.

The second incident is the exact same kid, in the exact same secluded area, touching her in a more intimate away (touching a girl on her arm, and on her hip are very different things), and standing in front of her for 3 to 5 second saying nothing but smiling, before walking off.

She would (rightly so IMO) come to the conclusion that the second incident was premeditated, and that he is subtly escalating his behaviour, despite her clearly physically and verbally objecting to him doing it the first time. She was (understandably and intelligently) worried that he would continue to do escalating things like that every time he saw her.
Anywhoo, i'll admit again that it's not hard evidence of anything, but it does bother me.
I'll outline in a following post, something that I think you are overlooking regarding the boy's highly probable dishonesty...

Alltrapbrah, here is why I think the boy is full of chit...

Quotes from the article:

"My intention was to make a friend. All my friends had left so I was lonely I just wanted to speak to someone."

"'I really needed someone to talk to at the time and my intention was to make a friend - but I clearly didn't go about it the right way and I am sorry for the misunderstanding."

I'll explain why I think the boy is being manipulative, and the Daily Mail (and you, and most of the misc) has fallen for his bullchit...

He says that he 'Googled an article on "how to make friends"', and so the way they taught him how to make friends was by walking up to them and touching their arm or waist... Not greeting someone, and holding out your hand for a handshake? It sounds more like that he Googled a "How to pick up girls" article. I'm pretty confident that his interest in the girl was not his, "I just wanted to make a friend" sob story. I'm pretty confident that he walked up to her and touched her on 2 separate occasions when she was alone, was because he was sexually attracted to her.

If I was the prosecution I would have asked;

"Did you try to make friends with any men, in the exact same way that you tried to make friends with the 17 year old girl in a secluded area?"

"Did you walk up to men and touch them on their arm, and touch them on their waist whilst pausing to stand directly in front of them, in attempt to make friends with those men?"

"Sexual attraction to her played no part in why you walked up to her?"

What article do you honestly think he read, that told him that walking up to people and touching them, was the way to go up and makefriendswith menandwomen?

You might say..."There's nothing wrong with trying to flirt with a girl"... No there isn't,but he is stating that his intention was only to make friends, and we are to believe that him walking up to her twice whilst she was alone in a secluded area and touching her, was just a 'clumsy attempt at making friends'. That sounds like manipulative horsechit to me, and I don't buy it for a second.

I wish he would be say (what I think is possibly nearer to the truth)..."I read Pick up artist articles, and I was attracted to her, so I tried out some of their advice, but I realize that what I did was wrong and made her feel uncomfortable"rather than his (to me obviously bullchit)"I just wanted to make friends with her".

I believe that the prosecution did ask him the kind of questions that I just wrote, and that is why the magistrates said:

Quote from the article:

"Magistrates told Griffiths: 'The complainant's evidence was very clear, logical and without embellishment. We can think of no motivation for you to touch the victim other than sexual.

'Had she not taken evasive action the assault was likely to have been even more serious. The first assault can be recognized as opportunistic however there is more evidence of premeditation in the second.'"

I really don't know why you (and the misc) believes the boy when he said "I was just innocently trying to make a friend with this girl!". It's nonsense IMO. I think there is good reason why he was convicted, because the court didn't believe a word of it either. The boy is not autistic, and nor does he have aspergers. "I just wanted to make friends with her"... Manipulative bullchist, IMO.

If I was the prosecution I would have asked;

You’re being a bit too logical and serious about this. Just let us have our fun.

If guys are having fun, then that's one thing... This the misc.

However, I suspect that a number of people who have replied ITT were completely srs in defending the boy, and criticizing the girl.

Brah, I don't think any of us were under any illusion as to what his real motivating factors were. It's quite clear that his story is a distortion of the truth; replace "friend" with "girlfriend", and we've probably got something closer to his real intentions. His actions were blatantly and obviously an ill-fated attempt at flirting.

Agreed. It's a pity he didn't go that route. I do wonder how his lawyer advised him. I'd have hoped she wasn't dumb enough to believe him at face value and coaxed the truth out of him, but the truth may have fuked him over just as badly because alluding to anything sexual is a dangerous play in today's cultural/legal climate. I personally think that flirting is harmless, but you cannot escape the fact that it's connected to the sexual, and the prosecutor would have had a field day with that.

Fair doos. But I still don't know why you're being so hard on the boy. Considering his age and predicament, he would have said ANYTHING if he felt (or was told) it had a chance of getting him off.

As I said before, the question for me is: has a sociopath been caught nice and early, or has a socially anxious and maladapted kid been royally fuked over?

You keep ascribing stuff to us that we never said. We all know what his intentions were we aren’t 5 years old.

The judges summing up was a disgrace. Who is she to say what ‘might’ have happened. You can’t convict people on that basis. His life is in the sh!tter for the foreseeable, and nearly all of us see that as way over the top. Apparently you don’t.

Pretty soon you Britcucks are going to be locked up just for looking in the general direction of a female in public.

A SHY student who touched a girl on the waist as he tried to talk to her was ordered to pay her £250 compensation today and complete a 12 months community order with 200 hours unpaid work and was told he must sign the Sex Offender Register for the next five years.

Jamie Griffiths, 19, Googled ''how to make a friend'' before making contact with the fellow pupil during two attempts to engage her in conversations as she walked to and from school.

CONVICTED OF SEX ASSAULT

“Even to this day six months later I feel anxious and worried whenever I have to go there, every time I go to the place the first incident took place my heart stops and I mentally prepare myself to see him there.

“All of this happening when I’m in my final year at school I’m afraid it will have affected my grades and potentially my future.''

At Manchester magistrates court, Griffiths who lives with his parents in a £650,000 house in the affluent town of Knutsford, Cheshire, faced jail after he was convicted of two charges of sexual assault.

But he was ordered to complete a 12 months community order with 200 hours unpaid work and was told he must sign the Sex Offender Register for the next five years.

The first year criminology student, who is now studying at Durham University, denied the charges claiming he was a “shy, anxious and awkward” teenager.

AWKWARD ENCOUNTER
The girl told the court: ''The pavement was quite wide but he suddenly moved to walk in front of me, looked me straight in the eye and touches me on my side and walked off.

“It was quite a while - three to five seconds.

“He smirked at me, he didn’t stop he just touched me and walked off and I broke down crying in the street - it was quite traumatic.

“I had reported the previous incident to the police to days before hand as it had been going around that other incidents had occurred and I thought I could give more evidence and then it happened again.

“It came up on a local ******** group chat.

“I broke down in tears straight away and rang my mum. She picked me up, we went straight to the house and then went straight to the police station and reported the incident.”

You and I have literally debated ITT, about me proposing that the kid have caution for what he did (you even disagreed with that, it seems like you want literally no legal consequence for what he did, I think that is 'over the top'). So I have no idea why you seem to think that I agree with the him facing a prison sentence.

It seems like you have completely forgotten our exchange ITT.
