I had it for 32 years of my life and it’s always been my biggest insecurity. I totally understand there is so much more work to be done — and I’ve been working hard (23 pounds lost) — but just cause you feel a certain way about it doesn’t mean others should also follow suit. Relax, it was my decision, I was able to afford it, and now im happy. Puffy nipples are annoying

I've had puffy nips and larger than I'd like aereolas for a large chunk of my life. In recent times I've leaned down to below 160 pounds, from 175, at 5'10 and tbh I do notice shrinkage. More pectoral definition comes out and maybe helps with that too, IDK.

IDK about this procedure, but I would've waited to consider it until after I finish a cut and look in the mirror.

Nonetheless, hope you're pleased with the results OP.

Totally agree. I should have leaned out as much as possible before the procedure.
I beat myself up over that, so i made sure to make a difference after the surgery

if he doesnt acknowledge the kenalog shot, you should get a second opinion. Since i had my surgery out of town, the office recommended i just go to a doc or another plastic surgeon for the shot. I went to a cosmetic dermatologist for it

to all the other posters hating on OP's surgery: keep seething. i can wear super thin shirts at the gym under harsh lighting, looking in the mirror at the squat rack, and my nipples arent visible. before surgery it was very visible and i would avoid tight t shirts that weren't black

You think i can go to my primary doctor for that? Been trying my best to break up the scar tissue but idk how much more I can do.
Since I might get a touch-up lipo procedure on the side where I have scar tissue idk if i should just wait. Or in a perfect world the lipo would suck away the scar tisssue lol

My nipples have started to get that "pointing down" look that all old guys get

Maybe there is a surgery to get them perky again?

idk, i'm not an expert or anything but from what i thought, and from what the team told me, plastic surgeons and dermatologists are more liberal in their injection with kenalog, and deal with scar tissue a lot. That said, you dont want too much kenalog injected or else that could cause an indent, and it shouldn't be injected too often.

I actually had a physicians assistant at a derm office dot the areas of scar tissue with a surgical marker, and meticulously inject

Why are you getting touch up lipo again?
My left side is “bigger” than my right. It’s due my left side naturally being bigger before surgery. Both sides looked even right after surgery but as i healed, the left side had more scar tissue and more fat was retained. The surgeon is offering this for a huge discount. My left nipple still feels numb, which I know means that there’s scar tissue.

damn, well hopefully it turns out fine after the revision. honestly, the surgeon should do it for free, assuming he didnt even try to lipo the first time.

It’s been over 5 months since surgery. My right side looks amazing and I’ve lost 20 pounds since then. My left side, as I’ve said, has a lot of scar tissue that it’s making my left nipple look puffy. It’s discouraging but good news is the surgeon is doing a revision surgery this coming week to remove the scar tissue (and maaaaybe any remaining gland, although he is 99% sure he removed all of it) he’s not doing it for free, rather for a small fee…but either way I’m fine with it as long as it looks better and matches the right side. Here is a pic taken 2 weeks ago

OP, may I respectfully request that you take a pic with your arms raised?

This is because I'm curious to see if you have that donut-shaped indentation on your chest, which is a common problem of most gyno surgeries. If the surgeon didn't properly remove enough fat in the surrounding area, a patient would end up with that donut shape.

This is the closest i can get to an arms-up progress pic taken last week. A bit of indentation when lifting up your arms is normal and actually encouraged.

5 months already? Help my fuk time flies. Looks like really good healing/progress. You must be experiencing that monumental relief never having to worry before putting on a shirt, especially a tight-fitted one. I remember these feels. As cliché as this sounds - life altering. Truly.
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*

OP why not just wear tight fitted underarmor shirts that are akin to compression shirts and then throw tight fitted shirts on top? I seriously dont get dropping 10k on surgery when you refused to actually get in shape and see how far you naturally can take care of gyno?

You can't burn gland and that's what gyno is. I had it done years ago and had 2 golfball-sized hard glandular lumps removed. I saw them right in front of me. It was shocking how much there was. The surgeon was very adamant that this wasn't adipose tissue, it was glandular. No matter how much body fat I'd lose, they'd never go away. If anything, they would just look even worse. The body fat around the pec area served to dwarf the puffy glands. I paid around 4k and it was one of the best decisions of my life. I can't explain the feeling of relief after over a decade of shame and lack of self-esteem and confidence.

Hey guys. A 5-month update. I got touch-up surgery last Tuesday to remove scar issue. My surgeon also injected kenalog shots on my right (my good side) for minor scar tissue. Overall it went well, it was under local anesthesia and it was amazing seeing my surgeon take this stuff out of me. He did the U-shaped incision under the nipple and removed the scar tissue. He was shocked at how much scar tissue he had to remove and it felt relieving to see him remove it. After the surgery and for a day after, I did notice indention on my nipple, however it’s been corrected since then. My surgeon mentioned to massage gently and obviously wear my compression vest. I really don’t want another surgery or complications so I’m wearing my vest plus additional compression with a belt. Can’t lift for 2 weeks. But overall I’m doing good and have my one week follow-up in 2 days. I thought i cared for myself good enough the first time around, but for some reason my left side healed differently, hence the abundance of scar tissue


This is what I was dealing with. Felt puffiness and hardness on my left side. I thought it was gland, but it only appeared there after a while, which means it was scar tissue.


This is what they removed


Obviously it’s still swollen, but here was a pic right after. You can notice a dent, which has been corrected since then

I got revision surgery to remove scar tissue from my left side on May 10. I had my one week follow up on May 17 and was already noticing fluid build-up behind my nipple. I asked my surgeon about it but he didn’t wanna do anything about it because it was “just swelling”. It’s frustrating because I had the same exact issue last time in March but he never wanted to drain me.

So yesterday i was massaging on my nipple area, and noticed some fluid was leaking. Apparently I was a little rough with my massaging and the incision opened up juuuust a little bit — the size of maybe a syringe opening, but enough to drain out. I ended up draining myself out and my nipple went down! It was puffy before caused by the serum (the clear/reddish liquid). It was so satisfying. Of course I disinfected and washed my hand and used antibiotic ointment after.

I read some doctors drain out their patients immediately and others just wait for the liquid to be reabsorbed by the body, which i don’t like (my surgeon is like that). I’m happy and my left side loooks good so far!

I read some doctors drain out their patients immediately and others just wait for the liquid to be reabsorbed by the body, which i don’t like (my surgeon is like that). I’m happy and my left side loooks good so far!
I never had a seroma, but i wore a compression garment and limited drinking fluids the first 7-10 days. Some doctors think that the seroma can lead to further inflammation and contribute to scar tissue.
