The LGBT agenda is an extremely divisive issue, but there is a huge conservative base in the rust belt who are receptive to pushback against it, and the urban centers already think Blumpf is a nazi who wants to exterminate LGBT regardless of whether he actively pushes back on it or not. So why not?

This might be anecdotal, but I live in suburban Long Island and there are alotof people here who are sick of this chit being front and center and being shoved down our and our childrens throats. I think that a lot of conservatives out there are pretty dejected and lose motivation to get out and vote when issues like these are being brushed off and being accepted as the new normal. Yes pushback will fire up the left, but it will also fire up the right. And at least from what I see in my area, a lot of moderates/independents are pretty sick of "the new normal".

Again the Trump campaign isn't making the trans thing an issue because they're afraid to. It would be a good line of attack but they won't use it.

The drilling thing is not relevant to the rust belt. Biden actually sunk a ton of money into PA to create good paying jobs making EVs.

Trump's economic policies don't play in the rust belt so he should lean into the cultural stuff to try and win them over but he's not doing that lmao. He just keeps talking about tax cuts and drill baby drill

This pick was sneaky clever because the Trump campaign is refusing to go to places where a guy like Walz is the weakest.
