Thoughts on wearing a dive watch with a formal suit? To be specific going to interviews and such professional events?
I posted before in part V about getting a Omega Speedmaster but didn't want to deal with the customs and taxes in the country i was living in then.. Now I'm in Aus i can import and just pay 10% GST.
However maybe spending 3k on a used speedmaster professional isn't the wisest thign to do for me right now, so I've been looking more at Seikos, specifically the Seiko 5 and the Seiko Monster. Since they are much more affordable I could buy several of them including a dress watch but then if it's ok to wear a diver with a suit I won't bother since I don't really wear a suit that often and can just keep that money to save up for a speedmaster professional down the road..
Also any manual wind watches under 1k? After looking at the speedy for so long i warmed up to the idea of getting a old-school winding watch..

Whats up boyos. I am looking to get into an entry level watch for wearing on more special occasions. What are the popular pieces, and where is there a good used market? I just bought some redwing iron rangers and chuka weekenders so I am really not looking to spend a ton.
Thanks
Also can someone rep me so I can find this thread easier, ill rep back

Do any of you gents know which model is on the left?
It's suppose to be a Seiko 5 sport diver around 35-38mm. That's the perfect size for me because tfw baby wrists.

Otherwise, Orient watches are very popular in your price range.

Top 5 laundry detergents in the game (don't judge my opinion):
1.Tide (delivers a clean and fresh style of)
2.Oxi clean (attacks dry stains like a monster)
3.all (deserves a spot in the top 5 but not the best)
4.wisk (I respect the stain spectrum tech. But needs to fight harder for that top 3)
5.purex (up and coming in the game)

You could save up for a speedmaster reduced if you want.

Another factor is I am a mechanic. I hardly ever find myself in formal settings. It just doesnt coincide with my lifestyle to have a high end time piece.
Some of citizens watches look pretty cool. Gonna check them out a bit more

Got a new purchase inbound. Went to the store looking for a classy thin chrono, ended up purchasing a Breitling Bandit. Having it shipped out of state though to save on the sales tax. Should be here Wednesday

For a 45mm monster it's actually pretty light (titanium). Brushed indices are a nice break from lumed pips, though it still has lume.

Thanks brah…love the way that the titanium catches the light. Some chitty pics before I head into work…took half the day off waiting for this thing
