seems like the devs didn't really bother with optimizing the previous gen version, cause it seems to run nicely on most current PC GPU with small tweaks to the settings. IMO they should've knocked at least $20 off the price for previous gen console, probably more like $30 to call it a even half off the PC version.
I think the trouble is that the games that look good on those consoles were designed from the ground up to run on them, so the comparison is brutal. I'm not that well versed in game developing though so could be wrong lol

It's honestly comical that my 5950x rtx3090 combos can barely manage 60fps @ 4K when I can run just about any other title at 120fps+ maxed out
Then there's the game crashing on both of my PC's every half hour or so, it's happening to thousands of people, they have a lot of work to do to get this game to run properly

Maybe you’re right. I’m going to rebuild my PS4 database and see if that helps.

Game so far is pretty impressive in terms of the world detail. Combat is ok so far, though I wish the cover system was better. Encountered the 'Talk to Victor' bug which you need to reload a save but that allowed me to roam around the city and just take in the sights I guess.
One bug or just stupid design choice was making the 'B' button crouch by default as well as the skip dialogue button. If you end up getting into a storyline chat while crouched and then you need to walk with the character you have to stay crouched and crab walk until all the dialogue is over. I'm sure a quick remap in the controls is easily done but kinda dumb thats the default design choice.

FYI, if anyone cares. My buddy playing on my series X says he’s having a great experience. He’s a console guy though. But for what it’s worth, he’s hooked and having a blast. So maybe it’s decent on series/ps5 even without the specific optimization.

The weapon upgrading and modding is amazing so far too.
And the INSANE amount of perks makes it feel that you really can customise your experience.
I’m at 12 hours now and I’ve only done three storyline missions. The side missions are as fun as ever and I’ve already started pouring points into how I want my character to interact with the world.
No Witcher 3 fan will dislike this.
