Been saying this in the crypto thread. He is EXTREMELY well versed in the crypto space. His response tweet when he was getting all the backlash about "dumping" his crypto, about "Paypal, and he may know a thing or two about currency" says it all.

Hate him or not he does think 10-20 years ahead of everyone else. One of the reasons he is so hated.

He also over exaggerates deadlines etc. But I believe it's for good reason, otherwise people would take forever to progress.

This report will be the gauge for how badly the world is doing and the IEA knows it.

Half of the emissions reductions in that report are supposed to come from technologies that either don't exist or haven't been proven commercially viable.

Another chunk of the reductions will need to come from people legit changing their habits. We can't drive faster than 62mph / 100 kph, regional air travel needs to be replaced by rail, we need to not heat our homes above 19-20 degrees, we need to not heat water so much in our houses, and the list goes on. Switching from cars to bikes, carpooling, taking buses, blablabla

The COVID-19 pandemic brought the entire world to its knees and dropped oil demand by 6%, and we need to reduce oil consumption by 4% every year for the next 30 to achieve the goals in this report. People are living in a fantasy world, lets see how it goes

I read most of the report last night.

You brought it up few weeks ago and had it bookmarked for while.

Goals for 2030 are gonna be very hard to obtain.

However I wouldn't discount new tech by 2050. We are still following Moore's law for chips.

No matter what anyone’s feelings are the only way to fly a plane across an ocean is with fossil fuels, all that stupid chit you order off Amazon comes across the ocean on a giant boat powered by fossil fuels and gets transported to and from a warehouse using more fossil fuels, your electric car is made out of crude oil derivatives, mined with diesel powered heavy machinery, transported with diesel powered big rigs, your car charged with burning of energy dense fossil fuels.

Goals for 2021 will be very hard to obtain, regions/countries are already pushing back on the idea that we need no new O&G investment beyond this year.

If anyone believes this will be as "easy" as switching to EVs and turning off coal, I got some bad news. Hitting these goals would require sacrifices from everyone in the developed world.

We have it ok. There's plenty of chitholes in the world and I think there's plenty of places that have it just as good as us, if not better.

I honestly thought Spain was overrated, but I spent most of my time in Madrid and Barcelona.

Australia has some good parts to it, definitely worth a visit after covid, and a hop over to NZ.

Agreed.

Overall the quality of living is pretty good here.

But there are so many better cities out there.

At this point almost every country has a few really good cities.

But of course **** the middle east and Africa.
No racist. But idc how developed those hat wearing Muslim loving cities.
I used to have an AVI of my traps and neck. I changed it a while back and tried editing my user title but this website is glitched and it will not let me change it anymore.

lots of places in africa are beautiful.
tanzania, kenya, certain cities in south africa like cape town
same goes for middle east. oman, jordan.

maybe actually go to those places and see them for yourself.
of course there are sh*tholes in middle east and africa - saudi and congo to name the obvious ones.
so just dont go to those places. Paris (in the past 15 years) has become a sh*thole - and that's in europe; doesn't make europe sh*t

The number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits dropped last week to 406,000, a new pandemic low and more evidence that the job market is strengthening as the virus wanes and economy further reopens.

AMC has legit chance at $28

wtf

this is so phucked.

GME also taking out $250 could open $300

reason I am saying this should not be happening with VIX

some hedge fund could roll if GME and AMC explode

GME highest call option for this week is $370C and its trading at $2 like holy phuck 465 percent implied volatility.

those are getting bids.

AMC $39C expiring tmmrw are getting bids unreal
