Any recommendations for a replacement band on this? I've had this watch for 15 years or so, it's pretty much my daily watch. The original band wore out and tore, and what you see in the image below is the replacement Citizen sent me. It sucks compared to the original band. And I mean sucks. It looks identical, but the original band was twice as thick as this band (at least), longer, and not as loose fitting on the watch, and the stays on this are absolutely terrible, to the point it's unwearable at times. Constantly having to adjust it. I tried to find the exact band it originally came with and Citizen does not make it any more. This one is pretty much the only option I have that's OEM. Since it's the watch I wear daily, I'm now looking for an aftermarket band that looks good and fits. Any suggestions on where to look?

No idea about your budget or future plans for it, but it seems like a cheap rubber strap doesn't fit the bill. isofrane.com might work.

I will check on these, thanks for the info. The Handley Roma is pretty similar to the style it had originally.

Bonetto Cinturini makes the best sub $50 rubber straps I've tried yet. That includes Hadley roma and hirsch.

http://www.panatime.com/22bocist.html

Idk what the width of your strap is, but I'd start there.

They didn't specify if it was certain parts or what the specifics were, thats just what I was told last summer when I toured the Rolex service center in Dallas. Good to know though.

Finally found time to post a pic. Nothing special, just something to wear casually. May grab something more formal down the road. Only gripe so far is the dial is a little sloppy. Wish it was a bit tighter, better yet a nice positive click.

Speedmaster has a version, and the Planet Ocean Liquidmetal IIRC. The term you are looking for is "display back" or "sapphire caseback" btw.

You can find the parts number on Otto Freis website ofrei.com probably.

Currently I don't own any watches, but I want to start purchasing some. I have a manager at my work who is big into watches and today he randomly bought me these:

Said they just came out and are good "starter" watches. Looks like they were $75 each.

I know nothing about wearing watches and matching. Could I rock either of these in non dress attire? Like would either even work with just a t shirt and jeans? Also not a big fan of the orange leather on the black one, should I get a brown leather strap?

I would say it's a starter watch in the sense that it is in fact a watch for somebody that doesn't have a watch, but not in the context of it being something to begin a collection for somebody that is into horology. Once you get used to wearing a watch, or get more interested in watches, people here will be able to recommend a lot of options at all price points.

As for the second part, I don't usually pay too much attention to what I wear with what. Whatever you think looks ok probably looks just fine.

I'm not too clued up on the Breitling line-up but probably my favourite has always been the Superocean heritage. Mesh style bracelet is a love/hate thing though.

Believe they do some different sizes (42mm and 46mm, i think? )
