No real rush with the cutdown being tomorrow at 4pm EST but I know as fans we wanna know right away lol.

I definitely think the young guys will get chosen over vets in some case. But honestly the TE position seems weak to me outside of Kittle that's why I was a bit bummed when we cut Vance. I thought he was pretty talented.

Hopefully we won't see a Delanie Walker part 2 situation. I think Garrett Celek makes the team but he does nothing for me. Maybe we'll only go with 2 TEs since Juszczyk will be as a TE at times.

Starting to trickle in lol.

Tyler McCloskey, Kapri Bibbs and Shayne Skov. No shockers there. Doubt today's cuts will be surprising.

Surprised and not surprised about Dial, liked him but just a victim of depth and the new scheme. Curious to see the rest of the cuts tho.

Surprising since they cut Hightower but Breida coming on strong helps.

Didn't think they would but glad they cut Kerley.

5 UDFAs make the 53, crazy.

Doubt we stick with this final 53 but I love that we weren't afraid to release vets and go with youth. Glad Bolden and Bourne made it…at least for now.

Very interesting indeed. Looks like they kept all drafted rookies going. Garnet officially out for the season.

Saw 26% of the roster is rookies. That's insane. Expect growing pains this year.

Garnett seems like a bust. Very disappointing, especially when the next guard drafted was Cody Whitehair who was a stud and could've been had without a trade up.

Bolden may have a chance but Shanahan's comments after the game don't offer up any guarantees. Basically unless we make him our main kick/punt returner he's probably not making the team. I think Bourne played just didn't get much going his way.

Williams needs to hold onto the ball, Breida has outplayed him so far but you can clearly see his talent running the ball but fumbles is a perfect way to not see the field. Has to get that chit in check.

I hate making 53 man predictions but here's my stab at it…

Offense(24)
QB: Hoyer, Beathard(2)
RB: Hyde, Breida, Williams, Mostert(4)
FB: Juszczyk(1)
WR: Garcon, Goodwin, Kerley, Robinson, Taylor and Bolden(6)
TE: Kittle, Paulsen, Celek (3)
OL: Staley, Brown, Kilgore, Beadles, Tomlinson, Magnuson, Fusco, Theus(8) Garnett on IR

Defense(26)
DL: Buckner, Mitchell, Thomas, Carradine, Armstead, Dumervil, Lynch, DJ Jones, Chris Jones, Marks(10) Blair on IR
LB: Bowman, Foster, Harold, Watson, Armstrong, Taumoepenu(6)
CB: Robinson, Johnson, Williams, Witherspoon, Reaser, Colbert(6)
S: Reid, Ward, Tartt, Jerome(4)

SP(3)
P: Pinion
K: Gould
LS: Nelson

I think we should look into trading some of our DL. Not sure Dial makes the roster so would be good to get something for him.
Got those wrong and missed Gilliam and Coyle

I honestly knew Kerley was gonna get cut, just seemed like the way they were headed during the preseason. Not really overly surprised with anything I would say I like the way the team is, definitely will be growing pains this season like genus said. I seriously hope Garnett isn't a bust but getting the feeling, and Will Redmond too. Either way glad the team is seemingly headed in a new and hopefully better direction.

I'm sad to see Kerley go but I understand why. He was the lone bright spot last year on a putrid offense. Seems like Lynch and Shanny aren't afraid to move on from players and don't really want to commit to any "projects" on the active roster.

Do we have the youngest team in the league? Has to be really close if we don't.

As long as nobody gets their expectations up, it should be fun watching this team grow this year.

Has to be us or the Rams. They only have 1 guy older than their HC lol. Their HC is 32 btw.

And I'm really excited about this season. I don't think we'll be thrilled with the results as far as wins because of all that youth and inexperience but I'm looking forward to seeing them fight. I hope we get that at least. I want to see these young players grow, show their potential and become better as they play more and more and pick up the new system.

I love that they cut Kerley. I have nothing bad to say about the dude he played great for us last year but I didn't see something from him that we couldn't get out of Taylor or Bolden out of the slot, even Goodwin. I'm glad they kept Bolden and Bourne(a receiver with more size) to develop.

Now that's not saying Bolden and Bourne will be stars in this league but I like the idea of holding onto younger players who MAY grow into legit starters or at least give us some good special teams play like Bolden.

I didn't think the front office would make these type of moves which is why I had Kerley, Chris Jones and Marks listed on my final 53, I figured they'd go with some vets and not cut guys they actually signed.

Also hoping big time we get a break from the injury bug…though starting off with so many guys on the IR is never a great start. Psyched to see our defense though the secondary still makes me nervous but I'm loving our front 7. I think our unit will have one of the biggest improvements over last year(not hard to do considering how awful we were on D last season)

Sounds like Kittle aggravated his hamstring injury and will be limited on Sunday. Sucks, hopefully it's not something that keeps bugging him and Ward. Would like to see both of them out there and healthy. Outside of Kittle our TEs give us nothing to be excited about.

Hopefully it is minor. I do not really remember him getting injured? I am over Ward at this point. It is Tartt's job as far as I am concerned right now.

Tartt is not a FS so having him out there would be really bad. Ward if healthy is a great fit so I'd like to see him stay on the field as the new defense suits him well.

Kittle suffered the injury week 1 of TC and missed the first game IIRC. Hopefully he'll be ok for the full season, kid looks like he can be a steal but needs to be healthy.

Not liking the fact Ward hasn't been healthy at all this year, he's had injuries in the past too, needs to get healthy and stay that way. Don't like the injuries to Kittle or Lynch either, need all these guys healthy and contributing. Getting pumped for Sunday tho!

I feel like we have a chance to win the game on Sunday. What do you guys think?
I always feel like we need to see it in the regular season before I'm ready to call anyone great.

I think our defense will be much improved and our front 7 will be the strength but our secondary is still suspect. Robinson looked good last year and had his moments in preseason but he also looked really bad at times whether getting beat in coverage, drawing flags or missing tackles. He's our #1 corner and Ward who SHOULD be a great fit at single high FS hasn't been out there much and can't stay healthy. I think Reid is a great fit but that dude has his own issues.

I need to see this defense play some real offenses to see what they're made of. I think Christian McAffrey will be a legit challenge because of his pass catching ability. Hopefully Reuben can stick with him or we may need to put Tartt on him, I love Bow but he can't hang with guys like that anymore.

I think we can get to Cam but we'll have a tough time covering Benjamin, Olsen and McAffrey.

I also wouldn't say our offense is great. Mainly because our OL is very shaky inside and we really haven't had much of a running game going. If we can't get that going against a tough Carolina front Hoyer is going to be in trouble.
