At least its not season ending, get 100% no need to rush back its early on in the year and we need him 100% we ain't going anywhere anyway.

Also genus Ray Ray looked bad, but I didn't think it was a facemask either just right under the helmet and shouldn't have been a penalty. Also that wasn't him who hit Mcaffrey in the backfield it was Kwaun Williams. Ray Ray played really bad even tho the penalty shouldn't have been called.

Also wouldn't have changed the game but how did they not call holding on the play on Garcon before our delay of game penalty? Was clearly all over him.

You're right, that's why I need to rewatch the game

I thought there were a couple of good plays Ray Ray made but that one wasn't him. I think the fuking announcers got me on that one. Remember them saying Ray Ray was still upset about the penalty on that play.

Waiting til the show the all22 tape.

I didn't really care for the play calls on 4th down. The two really bad ones were the misdirection to Juice. If you are going to run it, give it to Hyde. If you are going to run it, don't run behind Beadles!!! The 2nd one was the screen pass to Hyde. Yes Hyde may have went the wrong way but at least call a play where you throw it past the first down marker, not 5 yards behind it!!!

I don't mind going for it but the play calls need to be better.

I also wish Shanny can get an OC in to help him. He has too much on his plate right now as a 1st time HC. The playcalls weren't getting in neither.

I think that is a big part of it. I think he knows that we were not really in that game and was trying to see what type of plays could work or not work based on our personnel? And as we can see it didn't really work out.

We'll have to see more to know if Shanahan's plate is too full with the playcalling I think a bunch of other HCs do that as well and it works for a bunch of them.

I think the playcalls were ok, the execution was crap which I guess you can say any time a play fails The last attempt with the out to Hyde wasn't a terrible call but Hyde cut it inside towards the thick of the Carolina D and couldn't make it.

The run to Jus I wasn't a huge fan of just because of our interior play but overall I like mixing up FB runs since the defense typically doesn't expect those. A coach has to trust his OL will block but after the awful showing by Beadles I guess you can start to blame the HC/OC for trusting someone who keeps showing everyone that you can't trust him lol.

I did a quick rewatch of the game just on the defensive side. Solomon Thomas can definitely play better and I'm confident he'll get there. He had some good plays in the run D and had some good push of the pocket when rushing the passer but had a bunch of plays where he went for a ride by the OL. Because he's not a 6'5 300+ lb dude he really has to be mindful of his technique and leverage. Can't let guys get him off balance and that's something that will come with time. I think as he grows more comfortable with the scheme it will allow his athletic ability to take over more and he can just go. Basically the thing that made Foster stand out so early is something that can let Thomas stand out as well…him missing all that time from the team hurt. Foster wasn't out there but he could at least sit in the meetings, learn the playbook, talk with coaches over it, talk with teammates over it and those mental reps are key.

When you know what the other team is doing and what you own defense should be doing it's much easier to play well.

And we definitely played Reid and Tartt as our 2 safeties. IMO neither is a great fit as single high FS so Ward needs to get his ass out there asap.

Thought about you the other day. I was watching the redzone and they showed Bruce Ellington getting injured in the Texans game.

lol dude can't catch a break.

I like the Elijah Lee signing I wanted us to draft him in the later rounds.

Honestly I'm excited to see this season play out but the injury to Foster is a major bummer. I mentally prepped myself to see a bad season W/L wise but wanted to see us compete. We were doing just that before Foster got hurt and the kid looks ready to play.

Hell even after all the crazy chit that went down the fact that we lost 23 to 3 should actually be seen as a win in some way. Really wanted the young cornerstone guys to stay healthy and mature and get better as the games went on.

Still give us a top 5-10 pick(still looking like it)

This next draft class looks terrific at the top. Some real talent including the QB position.

That is a good point…. hopefully they move some people around to see what happens.

Either way Sunday is not going to be pretty. Hopefully the defense continues to play decent. I really just want to see some points on the board.

Gonna have to look at FA and draft next year to fix the OL. Not sure if the team honestly feel Josh Garnett is a fit(kind of have to think they would've designated him to return off IR if they felt he was a legit starter)

Hopefully Laken Tomlinson can get Beadles the fuk out of the starting lineup. I like what I've seen so far from Erik Magnuson.

Next year's class can really help us take the next step…but we need a QB worth a damn.

Why are we constantly bringing in defensive tackles? Already have Buckner, Mitchell, Jones and Cooper. And the guys we bring in are vets. I'd rather let Jones play and see what he can do. Not like we are going to win anything this year.

I do like the Lee signing too. Hopefully he will do enough to stick to the roster.

That is a good question? IS someone injured that we do not know about? I know lynch had something with his back, but from what I understand he should have played last week.

You would think they would still be looking at the oline or maybe safety with Ward being hurt as always.

They may not like what they have which seems weird since that position seems to be the strength…well at least on paper. Doesn't really make sense to me either but can't hurt to look I guess. Maybe just a way to light a fire under the ass of the guys we do have(hoping that's the case and it actually works)

Aaron Lynch was a healthy scratch last week according to Shanny, he isn't on the injury report at all this week and he better play Sunday, he's our best pass rusher in my opinion and one of the few players I actually like watching, considering I love sacks. Our lack of pass rush since the Smith bros left has me sad and frustrated when I watch our defense.

the only advantage we have is our DL vs their OL. the only chance we have is if we can contain Wilson. I'm sure there will be some pressures, but we cannot let him break containment and run around making plays.

Sadly the same thing goes to them with their DL and our OL. I just hope we can run the ball on them. I do not really see us passing very well. If we do I hope to see some deep balls?

Not sure about that honestly. Seattle is terrific at stopping the run and as you said our OL is a weak link. And given our performance last week it's hard to say whether our DL will be able to play well against their OL(if they don't then we're in real trouble and we really overrated our DL)

It's going to be an ugly game. I think we lose just because Seattle has had the same system in place on both sides of the ball for a while, they won't be making mental errors out there, they can just play.

Our team has a new system on offense and defense and is filled with young players across the board. We'll make mental errors and our young defenders have to think much more.

I think we do have a chance. If we can play a mistake free game I think at this point we're talented enough to win an ugly game but a lot has to fall into place. Playing a mistake free game with so many young guys and new systems is a tough ask. We'd also need our pass rush to be a total 180 from what it was against Carolina. We have to rush Wilson and contain and bring him down. Punish him for every drop back and don't let him get into any groove or make any big runs.

Our offense won't have much success against Seattle D but if Sherman is out we could make plays here and there. I just want to see a big improvement in the pass rush and our defense continuing to play well.

If our offense struggles against Seattle it wouldn't be anything abnormal.

Apparently Tank is the only one left on the roster, not sure about the league. And we also have let go of 8 Baalke picks in the last year.

Gameday, looking for progress, glad Tomlinson replaced Beadles as a starter, Lynch and Ward are active, and Bolden JR is active too.
