Good scope mount? I'd rather have fixed for securing my scope, and I'd like to be mindful of the weight I'm putting on my ham planet AR I built lol.

Can’t go wrong with any of those.
I’m sure Aero is fine too, just doesn’t look like something I’d put on any sort of heavy use rifle.

The Strike Eagle LPVO's are dogchit. Have shot several and the glass clarity is AIDS. The only thing that's good (actually REALLY good) from the Strike Eagle line is the Gen 2 5-25.
Do yourself a favor and save a little more for a Gen 2 Viper 1-6. Glass clarity is 90% of what the Razor's is. Reticle is great, dot is actually bright enough to use during the day, made WAY more heavy duty, etc. It's well worth the extra money over a Strike Eagle LPVO.

Partly he's a little reactive to it which makes it fun. Okay, that's pretty much it lol
The speed of light is coming up on almost a decade long running joke now, we got into a bit of an argument about the relative power of different cartridges and the formula he was using literally multiplied something but the speed of light to determine the energy/power of the round, which was a mistake, one he hasn't lived down

Anyone have anything good/bad to say about T-Rex arms? They have a Aimpoint to Acog mount I’m considering here soon. It’s just a mount but curious if anyone has done business with the company. The dude is quirky but seems pretty knowledgeable albeit his brand is separate from the company.

The main thing to take away from all of this is that the momentum contribution is multiplied by the speed of light. It is the real money maker so to speak when discussing destructive capability of relatively massive objects moving at speeds not close to the speed of light.
True that .44 mag has more momentum, but its not a huge difference.

An old MFC favorite is…what's the practical application of a pistol caliber carbine?
The answer: It's fun and I like shooting it.
Cool.
But that seems to be about it
Or shooting at a stupid range that doesn't allow rifle rounds so you spend money on an AR platform 9mm so you can shoot that 'platform' while being cooler than if you were shooting a 15-22 'cause those are too common

5" bbl ensures that you can keep 147mm rounds subsonic for use with a can. I can make consistent hits with my 9mm AR15 at 200 yds, and my 16" barrel gives me maybe 100 FPS extra over a 5" bbl. Are you able to hit 200 yds consistently with a handgun?
9MM PCCs are amazeballs and everyone should have one for fun.

I don't shoot my 9mm PCC as much as I used to now that I can't go to the indoor range at 2 AM to fire it anymore but I still take it out.

Only makes sense to go 5.56 for an SBR (which is waaay better than a 7.62x39 SBR).

Lucas is a great supporter of 2A and TRex does really good videos on gun-adjacent stuff like comms and night vision.
On the other hand, I would never take a class from Lucas. I have no problem taking a class from a civilian, recognizing that you're there to learn marksmanship and not tactics or anything like that. However Lucas' skill as a shooter is vapor wear. If he was truly a good shooter, he'd be competing and placing high in comps consistently. From what I've heard, he's only competed once or a handful of times, and did not do well. That, to me, says that he's only skilled when the cameras are rolling.

Don’t get me wrong Lucas has done some goofy chit, no one is perfect.
Apparently he had some .mil guys shoot at his range and made a dubious claim about “training” them. Ok kinda lame, whatever. Don’t think they offer any kind of formal training anymore.
Also disagree with not a good shooter because he doesn’t compete. Is he a grand master IDPA whatever da fook? No. But he can shoot. I know my local IDPA is a bunch of Fudds and not interested in joining them to shoot cardboard for 8 hours on a Saturday personally.
But yea he’s not Jerry Miculek or Steoger or whoever the fuk either of course and agree wouldn’t pay for him to teach me to shoot.

If it’s just a range toy, great.
I actually really wanted to SBR a PSA JAKL in 9mm once they’re released. Then I learned they’re direct blowback so I’ll pass.

The $3k I'd get for it wouldn't necessarily fund anything and I don't need the money. I don't think PCCs have ANY practical purpose so what's the point training with it? If I do keep it to shoot, I'd sink well over $1k in **** I would get for it (new barrel, can, stamps, optic) and I don't really feel like doing that. Not really sure what to do with it.
