Been following along but with the Sharks and Dubs mid playoffs and Giants mid season I don't care too much about what is going on now, it's just OTA's. The news is cool to hear but somewhat meaningless at the same time. Fingers crosses for no major injuries and then just waiting till hoops and hockey is over and more attention will go to Niners as baseball will be only season happening.

Agreed and good luck to your teams. i don't really follow NBA unless Celtics are in the playoffs…and have a legit chance to win a title but will never pretend I'm a legit fan, pretty open about tuning in only if they're doing well lol. Follow the Bruins more these days since my father in law is a die hard.

Can't wait til we get to camp and get some pads on so the OL/DL can actually show something.

Pretty cool to see the different drills our coaches are using. Seen a lot of media guys comment how nice the drills have been…obviously that doesn't mean much but always helps when coaches are doing their part.

Hate giving him credit but Cohn does a nice job showing the difference from last year to this year.

We got less than 100 days until football! From what I know Kap still isn't cleared and for some reason every article I read keeps hyping up Gabbert.

Not much on the football front but I don't think the Sharks will make it. Pitts speed is too much. If it wasn't for Jones making circus saves, every game so far would've been a blowout.

Pitt is fast, real fast but both games were close, 1 goal games and Sharks lost late in 3rd and in OT. Hertl his 3 posts and we had another post shot in the third I forget who. Hoping coming home gives them a little boost and we can at least win the next two and get some momentum. Tomorrow is a big game.

Still not much on Niners front all about Dubs and Sharks for next two weeks then will switch more focus to football. Giants doing well too still.

Looks like Bruce Miller is impressing the coaches at TE.

It's been slow but at least there are so much sports going on that it's making the off season go by fast.

Honestly don't care who wins the NB finals as long as it's entertaining. Kings fans, so sorry, i'm going for the Penguins. Also I got Copa America and EURO 16 to watch.

I'm ready for training camp.

Curious if Miller will make the roster. Will be interesting/tough cuts this year.

I think he has a good chance. He was already a pretty good blocker and has decent hands. Now that trick will be learning how to do the from the TE position.

Today I see the Kap may not be cleared for min camp. I am starting to wonder why he is not good to go yet? He has had his surgeries months ago. Let alone the fact the his none throwing hand was the one that had surgery.

Tin foil hat mode engaged…..

Do you guys think that the team could be doing this on purpose so he misses out on the camps so he is just to far behind to compete, and in the end they can just drop him?

I don't see that as the 49ers don't have anything to gain just by dropping him. Heck if that was the case then why not get rid of him now. Him missing is huge though and knowing him he'll be dedicating time in the gym to get swole again while Gabbert focuses on the playbook.

Mini camp is like 3 days and I heard they want him to work with the strength and conditioning coaches to get ready for actual training camp so he can be good to go for the actual important stuff.

They're not dropping him anytime soon. They don't need the cap space and he's still a possible trade option should someone get hurt and suddenly the value for him goes up. Maybe when he's healthier he actually rises to the challenge.

Dropping him now does nothing. You can say that it will be better for the locker room but if he's 3rd string or even 2nd string it won't exactly split the locker room considering how quiet he is.

Yeah you could tell the difference in his demeanor. He needs to keep it up and bring his best into training camp.

Still it's easier to let your guard down at the podium, he still needs to shake off the sh*t show of last season and show improvement on the field in the mental part of the game.

Don't think this thread has been this dead in a while

But this is the worst time for football. The long ass stretch from OTAs to Training camp when nothing happens.

I didn't realize Garnett wasn't signed yet. Hopefully it won't be an issue. Need both first rounders to get as much time in camp as possible to play with the first stringers.

Was listening to a Fletcher Cox interview couple days ago on Sirius and whoever was doing the interview kept trying to get Fletcher to throw Chip under the buss. Kinda pissed me off a bit. Fletcher was asked about the differences between OTAs and implying that no one liked Chip's OTA but Fletcher said he loved Chip Kelly and liked playing for him. Said all coaches are different just like all players are different and learn in different ways.

The host then was like well how do you feel about Chips offense which caused you guys to be on the field more. Fletcher said he didn't mind it at all.

He didn't have to be nice now the Chip is gone from Philly but he was so major respect to that dude. Makes me feel better knowing its just a handful of guys who didn't like Chip just like it was here with Harbaugh.

Let's be honest, Chip like Bill Belichick and some others like them rub some people the wrong way. If Bill stopped having success with the Pats the media would eat him alive. Those idiots can't wait to see him fail so they can chit all over him.

Same with Chip. And there's definitely a divide with players when it comes to Chip. The lazy ones tend to throw him under the bus so it's good to see a quality player not throw shade on him.

Some players would have any coach who made them work hard and look up to coaches who are basically push overs. Jim Tomsula was beloved by all our players…how did that work out?

Agreed. The less we are in the media, the more we are on the right track. This time of year is a giant lull in sports. I almost considered watching CFL to get my football fix but I'll wait until pre season.

Whole black lives matter movement is fuking hypocritical and retarded. Which lives don't matter?

These people want to condemn all cops and all white cops because of these tragedies.

Are there white cops who are cocksuckers who use the job as a way to assault/injure and possibly kill minorities? Sure and that's fuking tragic but there are plenty of black/other minorities cops who are scum as well and shouldn't have this job. And there most certainly is a whole lot more cops of all races who care about the public - white, black, etc…whatever color you want. You hear stories all the time about cops helping people down on their luck and saving lives including putting their own on the line.

Comments like what Kap said and other black lives matter comments don't help the situation. I saw some comments about the issue earlier and several people were calling for black people to get guns and basically go to war vs the cops. Seriously?

That's the solution? Start blasting away at cops will help the situation? I understand people want answers and justice for some of these cop killings but there is another way to go about this and turning this into a whole race war is certainly way down the list of good ideas.

I know this isn't really football related but just annoys me that it's still all about race. Would it suddenly be alright if that was a white dude getting killed or if the cops were black?

Kap needs to save the social commentary and worry about his football goals.

Regardless of what people say in here…his teammates don't seem to care for him, except the no talents like Patton or whoever the fuk.

So it appears hayne didn't make the rugby team and will not go to rio. Feel bad for him but oh well. He should have stuck with one or the either. He could have stayed around playing football may not have made this team but I am sure someone would have picked him up. Most likely Seattle to piss us off. Then more than likely he would turn out really good.

I have nothing against what Kaep is posting. I just think he's gotten to the point where he's irrelevant so it does't even matter.

Also, you can support this movement and not be anti-cop. I don't like when people go to either extreme. Growing up around the Compton/watts area I can understand both sides here. SOME cops can be @ssholes (stopped and handcuffed for no reason) and if you're white you really can't understand that. At the same time some of the stuff they see and go through isn't easy to carry around psychologically.

But enough political talk, i'm glad no players have gotten arrested.
