Nothing a little black and white filmography narrated by 50's dad can't clear up.

It is not so much the major events as the small day-to-day decisions that map the course of our living. . . Our lives are, in reality, the sum total of our seemingly unimportant decisions and of our capacity to live by those decisions. ― Gordon B. Hinckley

Do you think your tears on an internet forum would stop african villages from killing exotic game animals? Would they care that a bunch of grown ass men were crying on twitter?

Like it or not, they're not your animals, the villagers have every right to hunt them for sustenance. They don't and the population stays in check because of trophy hunters i.e the population survives.

So stop being emotional kunts and use some logic. It's disheartening to see grown ass men be so emotional, the majority of you hypocritical kunts eat meat. Want to take up a righteous cause? The inhumane treatment of animals raised for meat(small cages, bad conditions etc)

Yeah that's really all this is about. Seems to get some kind of sick satisfaction from wiping out a family of pretty intelligent animals, and anyone who willingly shoots a leopard/big cat is a piece of chit in my personal book. If it needs to be culled and a preserve employee has to do it then w/e, but going out of your way to do it and enjoying it, fuk outta here.

If you don’t think trophy “hunters” aren’t a half step away from being the next ed gein or Ted bundy you’re wrong.

You can lie to yourself and say they’re doing a good thing(they aren’t).

What do they have in common with murderous psychopaths?

Killing for pleasure.

Keeping trophies.

That guy is one of a number of people on this forum who constantly talks out of his ass. I can understand why people who perceive people smiling near animal carcasses to be callous characters but that (as Vexidi said) is your personal experience which doesn't necessarily track reality.

I loved buying meat from hunters when I could, and the hunters I know have a lot more respect for rules and regulations than dumfukks that go into those areas and leave litter all over the place. I used to have a problem with hunting until I informed myself by going with them and buying meat from them. That changed everything. I have a whole world of respect for legal hunting.

those psychopaths have contributed more to saving animals than you ever could imagine.

In fact they've stopped the extinction of animals and have allowed almost extinct animals to flourish and grow into stable numbers.

in the south trophy hunting just means you wait on a larger buck. i'm not a trophy hunter, meaning i shoot does and younger deer. i shoot button bucks, i don't care.

to some, this behavior is reprehensible. i always find the nomenclature strange. you mean african megafauna i presume? probably non-ungulates. like do you care if someone shoots a wildebeest?

Again, this is a completely different context. Some of those animals he posted are nearly endangered, plus he was bragging about how he killed a family of baboons. If someone bragged about killing an entire family of deer, I'm sure most people would be pissed off as well.

Now imagine instead of bragging about killing an entire family, he said "These baboons will provide an entire village with food" or something like that. The message he would send would be completely different... instead he comes off as a psychopath.

First of all post proof of this idiotic claim they only account for 4% bio mass.

Secondly lets assume thats true. Think about how much we have ramped up farm animal production in the last 50 years. Natural animals have not decreased, we VASTLY increased the amount of farmed animal biomass. Deer for instance are overpopulating vast areas of the USA and carrying diseases because their numbers have grown too big which might kill FAR more dear than hunters ever.

i get not wanting him to kill a giraffe or leopard. They're beautiful animals. But they aren't endangered, so he's acting lawfully in these hunts and isn't poaching.

I get that his pics make him look mentally unhinged at least somewhat. I don't disagree. But that doesn't disqualify the benefits of the money he spent on the animals he killed, nor should it give people a reason to ruin his life over it. But instead, people are focused on their knee jerk reaction and going after him because of it.

BRB going out an murdering several families of coyotes because they're a pest here and I can't stand them, but posting somber pictures with a caption of regret and bittersweet victory for the local neighborhood pets and other wildlife

it's okay tho because I regret it, even though the meat would go entirely to waste and I could actually stand to make a profit off of it with Riverside County's coyote bounty.

This is really the issue. It'd be gross if it was a bunch of livestock, too.

"LOL, made the mom watch her baby die. Here's the dead baby sitting in her dead lap."

I've had to go full Purge on furry yard pests before, but it's just a chitty thing you have to do. This dude seems specifically excited that he wiped out a bunch of relatives, and it's weird as hell.

...and for those saying "but he's the GAME commissioner", two former commissioners, both presumably appointed by Republicans, were among the first to call for his resignation when they got the email, specifically because it's poor sportsmanship and a game commissioner should know better. This guy's CPU ain't seated properly, and there are people with better judgment who could use his job.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

ha. I live out in the country and a lot of my frineds are hunters/NRA guys and/or Farmers.

None trophy hunt and think it's disgusting and a pretty sure telling sign of something mentally unstable with the person.

Try again.

You don't like the tone? Same. This guy isn't fit to be a hunter.

Here is your proof:

Bar-On, Y. M., Phillips, R., & Milo, R. (2018). The biomass distribution on Earth. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 201711842.

Measured in carbon (C)
Humans are 0.06 Gt C, domesticated livestock 0.1 Gt C and wild animals 0.007 Gt C
0.007 Gt C / 0.167 Gt C * 100% is still 4% in my book.

I have also had this in university (I am a biologist, finished my bachelor's now doing a MSc. in Biology)

''Natural animals have not decreased'' humans have had a tremendous impact on wild life across the world! In the last 50 years especially.. entire species which have gone extinct due to e.g. habitat destruction
