I am not able to take lifting seriously because of my job. up until around 2016 I lifted seriously. still wasn't super lean because only cared about strength and didnt want to cut.
nowadays I'm less lean and not as big because gym times and meal prep (thus diet) is extremely sporadic
i knew this when I signed up for this career, but lifestyle and financial gains are more important in the long term than gym. I miss it badly but it's true.
for reference by taking this job I got around a 400% pay rise on my previous career. go figure. downside is lack of free time, odd hours and you're always tired
