Also has anyone come across any weather changes yet? I've noticed the game rains a lot during mission segments, but once you're out in the open world its constant sunshine …… It's pretty stupid there wasnt a weather effect in the game considering even witcher 3 had it.

Graphics are pretty chitty. But I wanted to get familiar with the mechanics, gameplay, and tutorials before I got it on the new console.
I'd probably hold off, I was just impatient.

Also they don't take advantage of the Dual Sense controller at all. I didn't think much of the new controller but switching back to Demon Souls, it feels way more immersive

Yeah, one of the biggest misunderstandings/issue we've had so far is thanks to CDPR's false marketing. We (myself included) was led to believe that this game would be a GTA killer, and the game to end all games. But it's essentially more like Witcher 3 on steroids. Where the world/npc AI is incredibly static, but just taking time to immerse yourself in the world is where the magic happens because they end up having dialogue when you're nearby and they talk about their world and have unique animations for stuff, even though its looped in … it's all window dressing and super shallow, but at that first moment it does immerse you in the world.
The gameplay/rpg leans more towards fallout style of dialogue options and not something like the Witcher 3 or as a better example ….. Fallout New Vegas, there doesnt seem to be much "rpg" elements in the style of speech checks, or a whole lot of ways / outcomes you can affect everything. From my experience so far, it's usually one one way or at the most two ways you can affect stuff, but I dont think there's much variation from that … Just two events that could possibly take place.
I think the variation comes in the level design for some of the missions and that leans more towards the deus ex side where you can find alternate pathways by climbing stuff all using the open world to your advantage …. And sometimes its pretty impressive, tried to get into this one bar to kill some dude, I could have distracted but I saw an open balcony and then searched for a way to go there and ended up on a bunch of rooftops where people were hanging around and made a "life" for themselves on there with some metal huts, even some random ass vendor and a group of gang members chilling out who were not related to anyone in the club.
they overpromised everything and it's clear there was a ton of cut content , and sacrifices to be made …. None of which they ever made it clear with their marketing material … and now we've gone from the game being an rpg to an "Action adventure" with rpg elements.

I don't feel bad about buying the game, but it defiy needs to played at higher settings. This is what happens when you play console and most console players are dirt cheap.

ayy lmao, Did the missions with the nomad Panam sloot, thinks got buggy and retarded here, no weight to the missions or the enemies/drones. felt very bland low tier. All the other missions I done before were top tier, gotta get back in the city, too poverty out here.
Edit: game crashing alot on this last update. das not it

Not gonna lie guys, this game is super disappointing for me at least. Been hyped for it for ages and yeah it's like a 6-7/10. 25 hours into it atm.
My complaints:
- AI is probably the dumbest I've ever seen, literal zombies all in sync. No reaction to anything. Try punching a civvie, they'll all just crouch in sync and run away, it's weird af.
- Traffic can't navigate a basic obstacle, cars change and spawn in when you spin the camera around in lots of areas (e.g. blue car behind me, rotate camera, now its a grey truck, etc.).
- Origin story means nothing beyond the 15 min intro and some dialogue options later.
- Zero customization beyond character creator. No hair cuts, tattoos, car customization, etc.
- Weird teleportation police you can shake off by crouching against a wall. (Kill a random dude by themselves in the middle of nowhere, police teleport in somehow instantly with no cars or anything even though no one's seen you commit a crime).
- Nothing to actually do in the city or interact with.
- Low performance considering the high end hardware people are running it on.
Many more issues but all of this has completely ruined the immersion and the point of the open world for me as it all seems broken and pointless. I'm enjoying the story and combat, and the game is pretty when you aren't noticing obvious flaws/bugs. But yeah, it's really quite empty and shallow in terms of what they marketed Night City as.
In regards to people defending this, patches can't fix all the main issues any time soon.
My opinion only though, glad some people are really enjoying it, I'm just noticing that they haven't delivered on some serious selling points. I'll still play through it but my excitement has dropped significantly.

I'd wager CDPR had fixers issue the majority of side quests to handle the sheer volume, which works fine in a lot of ways (V is a merc after all) but it depersonalizes quests that should feel more emotionally impactful. A lot of the charm in Witcher 3's side quests was Geralt's "customer relations" with his clients and that gets lost in CP2077 - so far anyways, it doesn't seem like your relationship with fixers change.

Dragon age Origins had a far better origins stories for their characters, you actually spent time in your origin story, got to know them, the world and characters you met in your origin story came back…. Cyberpunk Origin stories were completely meaningless, add nothing to the story and its obvious there was a ton of cut content.
There are some story beats in there thats supposed to be impactful but none of them are earned in any way because the game rushes everything …. The moment to moment main narrative is really really good so far, but everything feels really rushed and disjointed if that makes sense, like there should have been more threads.
I thought a short campaign would have been decent, but actually feels more like they rushed it/cut stuff.

Witcher 3 was an accident
Accidental masterstroke
It’s becoming more evident in hindsight
That not quite tripleA, quirky b-level charm from W3 played a bigger role in the DNA of the studio than we might have thought.
That is who they really are, a bunch of amateurs who struck accidental gold in a perfect storm that included the backdrop of the old world mythology to mask their deficiencies

Evelyn has committed suicide. Googling the related quest, it seems like you can get the call randomly even if you're in the middle of another main quest.

This is 100% bad management/executive decisions - wanting to release the game on as many platforms as possible at the same time, chucking ungodly amounts of money in marketing and advertising the game as a mayhem simulator. The delays were almost certainly a byproduct of the first decision - wanting to cash in as much as possible on both current and next gen console sales, but unable to come to terms with the massive difference between the PC and PS4/Xbox One versions.

I'm extremely bummed to see the life path thing makes no difference?
Holy chit that is a major letdown. My idea was to play the game over with each path and get a fresh experience.
The crafting, skill set choices, looting, relationship building, none of it really matters to the narrative
Just pick up better guns off dead bodies and pewpew to victory
But honestly the gunplay is really fuking bad lol especially with a measly 50-60fps

I agree man. I heard lots of positive things about the side quests so I've been smashing them out, but it just seems like the same mission on repeat. Run into building guns blazing or stealthy, collect item or kill guy, receive text message. The end.
Again, I'm enjoying the main story, but everything else has fallen flat.

I think changing your skill tree should offer a new experience though
I’m currently playing as a male with high intelligence and technical stats with the odd bit of attention given to reflexes. In most of my missions so far I tend to perform a few hacks to make life easier then use high tech guns to clear the room.
In my next play though I plan to be a woman with stealth, strength, and close combat skills to live out my ghost in the shell dreams.
I feel that I’m missing out on a lot of vertical environment in my current form.
Btw, I expect a lot of people to warm to this as time goes on. First impressions reveal its shortcomings but as you get further in the writing and characters shine brighter.

In Cyberpunk all I'm getting out of the side quests are a waypoint, followed by a text or a phone call, blast through a small building, then that's that for 90% of them. Nothing is really making me care about them. Might be just personal preference though but yeah… I'm 25 hours in at the moment so I'll see if it picks up in quality. Enjoying the main story very much though.
