ETH 2.0 is years away, as far as I can tell. There won't be a new coin for ETH, what will change is how blocks are verified.

Elon and TESLA are very influential, environmental concerns about BTC mining have been floating around for the past couple of months in the MSM. I really think the entire market may flip to non-POW coins and chains getting a massive pump.

yup. The whole Climate Agenda is going to be pushed hard now, and he's included. The pipeline "hack" is also part of it. Honestly, that is the exact same conclusion I've come to before this Elon news. I even thought the same thing about the pipeline 'hack' - admittedly though it was just a suspicion with no evidence.

The stage is set for a massive push towards their agenda.

(I believe there are big problems with Air, Land, and Water pollution that need sorting out, but I don't believe 'the elite' have our best interests at heart with this agenda.)

Pollution YES, we should all be against pollution. But this carbon footprint crap is BOLLOCKS; if Gore was even 1% correct we'd be screwed by now. It's all a scam.

This is actually where it's kind of a good thing that Bitcoin is so heavily mined in China... China doesn't have these political lunatics and corporations trying to ruin everything like we have over here (not to say the other side isn't corrupt as well).
