Also this Patek might sway you: Patek Philip Nautilus, same designer (Genta) as the AP Royal Oak.

Spoiler!
Thanks heaps mane <3

If I were to go for a leather/rubber band, I'd probably go with Hublot Big Bang;
Spoiler!

Spoiler!

Two very different watches though, one is more your casual daily (Hublot) while one is more of a statement/classy watch (AP, if going with the gold).

I'm not too into steel, I mean, those AP watches in steel or white gold cost a fukn fortune. You're honestly better off going for a gold watch that at least won't depreciate in cost (price of gold will continue to rise).

I've got some thinking to do!

Personally, I would do something not gold for your third piece, AP 15202 Ultra thin, almost got one last week but some A**HOLE beat me to it…18 month wait list at my dealer now
Sikkunt, repped mane!

The Yachtmaster II is such a boss watch. My Oyster Perpetual Day-Date got a lot of compliments, but the Yachtmaster II got 10x more. It stands out due to its size.

I'm thinking Hublot Big Bang like the ones I posted above - I need at least SOME gold lol.

Personally, I would begin getting into the Zenith movement daytonas. They will be the next Paul newmans.

If you're worried about depreciation I would stay well away from gold watches, unless you can get a killer deal. Also the value of gold in wristwatches is really only a fraction of the cost, so doesnt really play much part in price increases.

Nah I've never worried about the depreciation mane. If I like the watch enough, I'll get it - negotiate/wheel-n-deal as hard as I can and go for it.

And yea that's what I'm leaning towards also, AP's are beautiful pieces.

IMO, Hublot isn't worth buying unless you can get like 40%+ off.

On the topic of vintage Rolex watches: I spotted a watch at a local resale shop and was wondering if it's legit or not. Based on these photos, what say ye MWC?

The watch had a lil' bit of heft to it, wasn't able to check the case for markings / serial as I didn't have a tool on me to pop out the bracelet - plus the workers at the shop would probably panic if they saw me taking off the band. The crown logo at 12 o'clock looks a little bit rough and the hands have a crude shape to them also - I'm assuming it's a fake.

Think it's real actually. Would need to see a movement pic for a definitive answer.

Looking for a versatile watch brahs. Nothing too expensive for now. Under $200 preferably. Something that I can wear with casual and business casual attire, and something that will look good with black or blue clothes. Don't care about the mechanics TBH

Look at the brand called ORIS. Perfect for you. If you don't like Oris try Seiko or Citizen.

If you don't care about movements pick something you like the look of.

I know y'all got tired of people maybe talking about Rolexes and Speedys, but I was in Austin this weekend and went to a Men's Boutique and saw these two Speedmasters HNNGGG

Now I want to get a vintage Speedmaster for my birth year (1983). Any good sites where I search online and find something at a reasonable price?

sword I would start by browsing watchrecon. You'll have the biggest database to go by. But finding that specific year you may want to make a watchuseek account and make a wanted to buy thread. Good luck man

Definitely watchrecon, you'll be able to find a 1983 if you're not in a rush. And it'll have dat hnnng tritium lume as opposed to the modern one in your pic. The automatic Speedies don't do a thing for me - the Pro is the one to get out of those two.

If you find a used one elsewhere, ask for a legit check here for 350 confirmations.

Also, birth year concept is awesome, but the hnnnnnnngest Speedies are even older than 1983.

Pretty sure this guy means Orient watches VVVV. Oris is great too, but they start around 900-1000 bucks
