T-Rex sling delivers today (in a few hours). Quick order processing. Will mess with it today and get it setup. I’ll let you fellas know if I’m disappointed about anything, but I think I’ll be happy with it. G2G

Edit: got it all hooked up on my BCM QD’s and finished threading it to the reverse throw method. Very quick to loosen and get hand on rail in one motion (what I wanted). Makes it a little awkward to tighten by pulling it back to armpit but if I’m tightening it I’m done using it/threat is gone etc and I don’t need to hurry. I’d rather the loosen to use be very quick.

It’s definitely a minimalistic sling. Pad is really just a couple layers of material but is enough. Very lightweight, no clanging of metal, etc. all in all I’m happy with it and it does what I wanted. Will throw one of the bungies around the handguard to retain it when not using.

Let the sling all the way out, grab it by the end attached to the front of the rifle, run it around the back of the stock, loop it around the grip, then cinch it tight on the opposite side.

That's hot and has been implemented.

Ideas for quick access use? I think I've seen something with Rubber Bands but not sure if that uses a more tailor-made product

whats up crew? just got back from the range, i bought a lead sled and zero'd some rifles with it. also got a carry handle mounted picatiny rail for one of my 20" mutt ARs. that simmons 3x9 is fun as hell on that 20" AR. Im going to J&B epoxy it down to the carry handle though, and eventually buy a 20x magnification scope.

also got to shoot my friends 16" Sig AR with a red dot on it. made me love my ACOGs even more

Here's an olive branch, and you can take it or leave it.

Lead sleds are ****ing stupid. You should sell it to a retarded Fudd and buy a high end rear bag like an armageddon gear. For your rifles without a bipod, a 2nd bag resting the forearm near the receiver on something like a 30 cal ammo can is fine.

Enjoy your lead sled.

I assume your life is unchanged over the last 10 years, since you assume that applies to anyone else?

The sling keepers from TRex are nice. My sling came with two of them. You fold up/under the sling along side of the upper/rail then pull the keeper over it to hold it in place. There is a video on his site showing it.

Heavy duty elastic cord. Once tidied all you have to do is grab a part of the sling and pull it and you’re ready to throw it on

Getting in my 2nd session in the weigh room this week right now. I started older (mid-30s). I'm 42 now, and don't take it very serious compared to some. Only been getting in twice a week, but I almost never miss a session, so there is that. Don't think I'll ever stop.

Kids basketball, quick range trip, more kids basketball, and lifting has pretty much been my day.
