You can swap the movements and sell the broken one.

nuy a new movement and swap it. take it to a watch maker they just need to pull the crown, swap the hands and dial over and reinstall it. its like a 10 minute ordeal.

I'd go for a ExpII or a GMT instead. For a reg sub, I'd go for the no-date.
Exp1

- Great horology with the Mt Everest story
- Is a fancier/dressier watch compared to the tool/functional sub
- Smaller size
- Cheaper even though it arguably looks more 'expensive'

Obviously they are both great, but both quite different.

Not to mention the Boxster is a 9/10 car too

Top 5 laundry detergents in the game (don't judge my opinion):

1.Tide (delivers a clean and fresh style of)
2.Oxi clean (attacks dry stains like a monster)
3.all (deserves a spot in the top 5 but not the best)
4.wisk (I respect the stain spectrum tech. But needs to fight harder for that top 3)
5.purex (up and coming in the game)

Depends on if you any have tools or not, and if the dial is the same or nah; It's really easy to do it with the right tools, but without any tools, it's better to get it done (takes 5 mins at most).

Excellent point. Sub has been in my crosshairs for over a decade now. I'm a diver, captain, fisherman, shooter, etc. Obviously it's a dive watch/maritime designed instrument. Plus, a lot of the SoF community rocks them as their "nice watch." So it just had to be done. I think a watch should compliment the person. The sub is just well…me…in watch form.

I could see someone being suited to an Exp1.

im not a big fan of the explorer 1 and ive always thought the boxter was meh (until the most recent model)
but…

the difference between explorer 1 and 2 is a matter of taste and function

the difference between a boxster and 911 is largely a matter of budget

I have the 2 line no date. By far the purist most minimalist sub. Suits me the best. If in fact you decide to purchase, I HIGHLY recommend a retailer/reseller from The Rolex Forum. I was skeptical until I went on there and saw the reviews for some of these guys. I bought my Sub for $600-700 under what comparable ones were going for through local jewelers and online dealers.

I got mine with box, papers, original display tags, etc.

Found an arty pic of my 300m plus a pic of my old Rolex I sold to fund a business. I much preferred the Omega even though the Rolex strap is better, you can adjust the length on the fly, the Omega gets pretty tight when I am hot.

It all comes down to what you like man. Don't buy it for anybody but yourself. Having said that, I think pretty much any strap/color will work well with a black case.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably get hate for even mentioning this but I saw this site where you customize your own automatic watch and the first couple pics here of that color combo really caught my eye

That Deep Blue gives me chills. I will have her one day. My next watch will be an Omega PO Orange though.

I'm a diver IRL so this is on my list

After that it's a DSSD-DB or a GMT Batman. Then I think $25k in watches is enough LOL
