I’m just not clear on how this has any impact on the viability of a company. Companies exist by providing a service/product, incurring costs, and generating revenue and price fluctuations in the stock market have no bearing on any of it

Companies can even exist without being publicly traded

People keep making the same excuse of not putting anything in.

You're too scared to throw in some lose change? Nobody is telling you to put in 50% of your income or life savings. I put in $160 and now got about $800. If AMC hits $100/share then I got $1300.

If I lose the $160, big whoop. That $160 would've most likely went to restaurant food, video games, Jordans, etc. Worthless things. I did myself a good service. Should've sold my $200in bitcoin and went more in AMC.

What's the process in paying taxes on that? I ask because I'm not trying to wait till the end of the year, would rather pay IRS now. I'm guessing with the short term capital gains tax, you're paying somewhere around 25%?

This right here, back in January I basically cashed what amounted to roughly $2200 in credit card rewards I accumulated in 2020 and bought amc. That 2200 would've been long gone by now but instead I've been simply waiting for a week like this to finally reap the benefits.
