Hey everyone. Ive wanted to get a nice watch for a while now and recently have been obsessed with the SAR Marathon Military watches.
I have narrowed it down to getting the Tsar or Jsar . Most likely the tsar model as its more proportionally sized

Has any one had experience with these sellers? Can anyone confirm the are ok? 698$ and Amazon and other sites have the watches running a couple hundred dollers more? Thanks

Gotta go with the steel case imo. PVD would be for a 2nd or 3rd watch.

Really a hard choice because I usually dress super casual so I feel like the black would go better but then again I should have a steel case since I don't have any nice watches. Also a little worried about the black PVD scratching and looking bad.. So torn…

Just about to join the proper watch under 500 crew. (sterling master race)

But don't really know anything, looking for a fairly thick chunky watch with a thick bezel, got pretty big hands and juicy forearms.

Closest I've found to that description is either a casio edifice or a bulova precisionist.

Not keen on casio cuz it's a casio and I've never heard of or know anything about bulova? Is it poverty?

Like I said this watch stuff is all new to me, so thanks in advance for any and all reply.

I just got my first bottle of tom ford Tuscan leather the other week thanks to the misc, so I know you guys won't steer me wrong on this stuff!

I've got decent sized man hands and big forearms too and to be honest a nice watch it's going to look nice regardless. I usually wear a 40-43mm watch. Used to o ly wear bigger 45-48ish cause I thought it would look small otherwise but I've come to realize that a nice watch will look nice regardless of your size, just dress appropriately for it.

Long sleeves make smaller watches appear larger as does wearing it closer to your hand vs further up your arm.

A thicker case will cause the diameter to appear smaller due to the aspect ratio of height v dia. You might like the Seiko sumo it's about 44mm and it's in your price range and really quite a nice piece for an entry level watch. Orient mako xl is another larger inexpensive solid reliable piece

Another cool piece that's pretty inexpensive and a bit larger is the maratac big pilot it's bout 47mm but you will most likely want to replace the strap as it comes with a very casual single strap NATO

Of those 3 watches the sumo is the most expensive at around 400 bucks.

I personally dislike Bulova, a lot. I'd take Seiko all day long over Bulova. You can probably get one in the same price point.

Those Patek and Audermars are fakes.

They are never ever that cheap if legit, plus you can't buy them right off the bat, you have to apply to buy a Patek.

Nope, you're wrong. The prices seem pretty accurate for pre-owned, the patek actually being a tad high imo. And no, you don't have to apply for a PP, unless it's something special (like a minute repeater), certainly not for a simple white gold calatrava.

Ok cheers.

Just had a look at some seiko's in town nothing really took my fancy.

Like I said so far only the casio edifice and bulova precisionist had the size and look that I'm after.

Still enjoying shopping about and learning something new though catching a flight tomorrow so hopefully they'll have something in duty free.

Thanks again guys.
