Huge tax revenues coming from marijuana and cost savings from no longer having to regulate it. win-win

Regardless of your personal views on it you have to consider that if it's legalized and taxed it can bring in close to a billion dollars in tax revenue yearly

we also spend 2 billion dollars in drug enforcement a year. that number would drop if we were to legalize it

Actually in cities where it has been legalized, prices have gone up on weed. Check out what happened in Colorado.

Lgalizing something doesn't mean that it isn't regulated, quite the opposite in fact. Alcohol is legal and very regulated.

I mean cost savings for the government, not the users.

Oh, like law enforcement and corrections expenditures?

Yeah, I think those words are a much better choice. They are certainly going to regulate and tax it (the gov't should be hnnging at the new tax revenue from all the pot smokers in Canada).

Yea they will add huge tax to it.
But I could just sprinkle seeds into my yard and in the fall just harvest it and not pay the 10,000% tax. They're definitely not going to be OK with that. Missing out on the tax revenue.

Cops going start rolling around with lawnmowers lol

If only it were that easy. On my street which is getting super expensive to buy a house on 1mil+ there is a legal grow op. Been there 2 years now and no issues. Several people have complained (my father included) the former local MP vowed to have it shut down. Federal government said no because of the taxes and owners not breaking any laws or violations.

The benefits from legalizing it out weight the keeping it illegal reasons. But only time will tell what happens.

No idea they don't talk to anyone, house is somewhat discrete. Any and all loading/shipping of products happens late at night. I assume they supply dispensaries and maybe research areas as well.

That's the plan. If weed was legal and I smoked it, I'd just grow it in my backyard.

LOL @ Trudeau saying weed will be harder to acquire when regulated, then calling himself a BC native or whatever. Nikka pls..maybe in Ontario or something. I could walk to any park in BC and find 47 dealers without a problem lol.

* Talking to 2 girls all of us busy.
* Make time in schedule
* Ask girl 1 out
* Get reply of "I've been seeing someone for a little bit sorry"
* Ask girl 2 out
* Get reply of "I just started seeing someone sorry"
* Reaction of

* Girl 2 still wants to meet up and be friends until later on

But still in reality

*not serious.png

But then I remember what my bank account will look like so…

How's everyone's week going?

i started running, and i actually enjoy it. it feels weird as a lifelong fat kid. i can't run very long, think the first time i i did the mile like 2 weeks ago, it took me like 9 minutes lol. did it in 8:00 the other day at 215 lb which i thought was decent but apparently on the internet people are running it at my weight in like 6 minutes lol.

slowly building up endurance, jogged 5 laps today for the first time since high school. mostly i just jog for endurance one day, run the mile for speed the next, and alternate like that. hope to add a lap to endurance days every 2 weeks and get the mile time down to 7 minutes. i'm sure it'll come as the weight comes off, just gotta stay consistent.

also hurt my shoulder somehow, been a few days no lifting, hopefully it'll be okay for chest day tomorrow.

how was everyones weekend
