I just realized I haven't worn a watch in almost a year…. I've worn one daily ever since I was three years old…
On the bright side I'll be in Miami this time next week and it's going to be watches galore over there.

Asking $2k, but I'll do $1.8k incl shipping for my misc brahs. It's absolutely pristine, fantastic condition. Hard to believe this watch - from 1966 - is 50 years old already!

Looking to sell a seiko mod I picked up a few months ago, only worn a few times. Excellent condition. Green Sapphire crystal is in mint condition with no noticeable scratches or dings (Along with the blue sunburst dial it really changes the look of the watch in lighting). Paid $325 for it, asking $225 pretty firm Paypal shipped to CONUS. Would love to keep it but student loans are calling.

Automatic SNKK27
Case Width - 38mm
Case Thickness - 10.5mm
Lug Width - 20mm
Lug to lug Width - 44.75mm

If interested give me a shout and I can post proof of ownership

The battery in my trusty Bulova died so I decided to retire it to beater duty and went on the hunt for something new. I wanted a quartz because dealing with automatics is a PITA since I don't have a winder. I ended up ordering a Bulova with the precisionist movement. For the unaware the movement operates at a much higher frequency so the second hand has a smooth sweep. It is a chunky bitch tho. 46mm case and 8.1 ounces. By comparison my Hamilton is 6.8 ounces and 42mm.

I will post pics and a review once it arrives.

I'm really digging my new Bulova. I was concerned that it may be too large for my 7.5" wrist but it suits me fine. The sweeping hand of the precisionist movement is a cool novelty too. It really does a good job of making my Hamilton Chrono seem small and light. I intended to use the watch as a daily but I think it will end up being more of an occasion watch.

Some pics.

Dwarfing my large hefty Hamilton Chrono.

I was at Macys today and another Bulova grabbed my eye. LOL

I have been wanting something with blue hands for awhile now. Still not sure if I should keep buying watches though.

You'd be better off spending that money on a Seiko, Citizen, Orient, Casio, etc. (see 1st post for a more complete list of quality watches under $500). If you don't really care about the mechanics, history, etc., and really just like the design, then go for it.

Was looking at this watch for the past few days and a great deal popped up so I grabbed it. What I didn't realize until after I bought it was that it is way larger than a normal Marine Star. 47mm case. I will also replace the rubber strap with a stainless bracelet because I don't imagine the rubber will feel good.

Put myself onto numerous waiting lists for a BLNR, don't wanna pay over retail and I've wanted one for a while. Trust me to finally decide to pull the trigger when they're one of the hardest Rolex models to pick up over here . Hope it wont be too long before I get the call!

Thanks bra's, yeah i would check out TRF and DavidSW but it really doesn't work out well once you factor in the import duties and vat. Shame there isn't many UK sellers on TRF as the prices there always are very reasonable. Keeping my eyes peeled on Chrono24 etc but a part of me is hoping for that phone call soon lol

What's the out the door price in the UK? My friend walked into an AD here and bought a BLNR right out of the case.

I'm looking to get into the watch game soon enough. I've been buying cheap watches long enough.

I'm pretty novice when it comes to things, but what's a good way to see if used watch sellers are legit?

I tend to like leather straps and simpler, yet elegant looking watches. Maybe something similar to the vintage Omega line? That should be sub 1000 right?

Just like on eBay, feedback. Get references from the seller and ask them about their transaction. Some places have well known sellers that you don't really have to vet though.
