It seems like every poster there hated it.

Why was it hated so much and why is this forum so much better?

because this forum actually looks like the misc and has the same rep system plus the ability to restore ur old account because it was saved

On the one hand fagmin gave us a place to post and kept the spirit (sort of) alive, on the other hand it constantly felt like a work-in-progress. Emoji post reactions were fun, but you can't really call it a misc forum without a rep system. I posted entire diatribes abut why having reps and negs matters for the forum ethos so I won't bother doing that again. Plus rampant favoritism from the mods with there degen friends. Also plenty of us actually contributed real money via the platinum chit to keep the forum going because we believed in the spirit of the Misc that much, so it was a bit of a kick in the teeth for it to just disappear like that.

I didn’t. I actually appreciated the new features and layout. Reply notifications, reaction emojis, being able to embed vocaroo and other things were awesome. If new misc had a rep system it would’ve been perfect.

Agree , it wasn’t that bad . Embedding was easy also , I just wish I could have embedded pics directly to the site instead of a third party
