What’s it mean?

If dudes say “we should go get coffee sometime?” This must be a thing now because it’s the third man to request coffee. It just seems too loose to me. Like how long does a coffee take?

it's a neutral way to gauge your crazy levels without spending $$$. if u are single at 40 it usually means some form of crazy or attachment issues (or both). learned this the hard way so don't take it personally.

So if I say yes or go - it’s a date? I don’t mind chilling for coffee but I don’t think I want to date. Plus it’s weird when it’s people that i barely talk to- like there’s no level of comfort for me so it’s a very awkward thing to go into.

It’s fine lol I’ve been diagnosed with BPD - massive attachment issues. I haven’t been in a relationship for 6 years so maybe it could be different but I really don’t know. My crazy seems to be triggered by relationships. I don’t pick great people though neither. So it’s probably a mixture of two toxic people not working together.

What's important – seeing if there is any chemistry etc can be done just the same over coffee, if not better since less formal/potentially less nerves - knowing it's casual and not locked down for 2 hrs. No need to give a label such as date – who cares what it's called? Either you click or you don't.
