I am looking for a new game right now. Undecided, debating between an AC game that I haven't played (like Syndicate) or one that I played 15+ years ago and know is awesome (AC II) or a gentle simulator, or a straight up shooter, or a roguelite Vampire Survivors type game.

decided to just say fuck it and buy it. Haven't purchased a new game in forever so I might as well play something to use the PS5 pro. It certainly has my attention, which is more than I can say for most game purchases.

Finally rolled credits on KCD2. Still playing Street Fighter 6, beat the normal ending of Silksong, and currently going through Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition.

I don't know whether you've seen these no damage runs on the top difficulty for Doom Eternal. The player is flying around the map changing weapons every other second. Its impressive to watch the gymnastics.

Playing RE8 Village currently. Good game and I'm enjoying it better than RE6, which I didn't like so much. I don't like the REs where you play as multiple people for shorter periods.

Playing on casual for first playthrough, just playing more for fun and story as supposed to a challenge.

RE6 is easily the worst of the mainline games. Village was pretty good. Not up to 1, 2, or 4 but I liked it better than the rest.

Started playing South of Midnight to see if it was any good. Seems like a very basic and simple game, pretty short, might run through it just for a change of pace. It's "woke" in that you play a black girl but the game itself is fine to me so far.

Finding it hard to find any games right now that can hold my attention. I generally only play for an hour or so at a time so bloated open world games are hard to stay engaged in.

You should check out Blue Prince lol srs. Same boat where I'm in a phase rn where a lot of games aren't holding my attention even though they've been "good" ... But Blue Prince was an entirely cool new concept for me that I managed to finish it in 30 hours, but I still probably have like 20-30 hours or more of actually trying to finish up the rest of the content because some of these puzzles go deep (can be a bit bullshit also because puzzle games).

The funny thing is that my 30 hour playtime is just because of the RNG/Roguelite aspect to it, so you could be done with it even sooner or even later. It's a legit cool twist and a breath of fresh air - Roguelike puzzle game and I dont think anyone's done that before. Just be ready to rage because of the rng .... I've had near perfect runs be ruined because of some bullshit rng lol.

Nice i will have to give that a shot. Going to try to keep going on SoM at least, seems like a good story at the very least.

Been out of it for a bit, but feel like I played thousands of hours in various rpg games and mmo's. Baldur's gate, diablo, shadowbane into world of warcraft, and Rift for a bit. Been looking at various diablo 2 vids lately and looks tempting. Hard to find the same feels for anything again.
