1. A lot less responsibilities and obligations because people avoid you and don't ask you to do anything

2. Have the leverage in most interactions if you have a well-known reputation as a prick

3. Can be selectively "nice" to a few people to mix it up and have those people advocate for you to make you very unpredictable, for example:

Most people who hate you: "He is a such an unpleasant smug jerk"

Person you're selectively nice to: "What are you talking about, he's always been nice to me"

4. Can be very fun to make yourself cartoonishly hated, like a 1980's pro wrestling heel

5. No need when you get old to start getting your affairs in order, plan your funeral, make your will, etc because nobody cares about you and no one's attending your funeral

You'll just disappear one day and no one will notice and if they do it will be nothing more than a "Good riddance"
