Yes, yesterday the grocery store parking lot was entirely full and people were swarming, running in and out. Was hysterical. Thankfully I went a few days ago and didn't have to deal with that shit. People can't even think a few days ahead.

Imma stay in and hope my power and internet stays on through Monday. I shall watch pirated movies and play video games.

I already went grocery shopping two days ago.

I have a little heater and battery backups and stuff.

For those of us in the North it's not as big of a deal but I get why southerners freak out. I ran to the grocery store yesterday around 2pm and it was packed. I can't imagine what the stores are like today. I have to run out and get a passport photo taken now, we'll see how busy the roads are.

The ice is more of a big deal because of possible loss of power. I can't remember the year of the big ice storm but we lost power for a good week...that was madness...

My sister had an apartment and it was the only place that had heat and power. There were like 20 of us that stayed at her place that week. It was like one giant sleep over and by the end of the week, we were all ready to kill each other...it was awful lol...

Lol yeah I still remember the huge winter storm we had here in 2014 called Snowmaggedon actually on my bday, because I was off that day, and was watching the news of ppl freaking out on the highways and stranded. One of my friends said traffic was so bad he just said fuk it and left his car, and walked home, because he was only like 2 miles away.

To be fair the weather channel got it completely wrong, and said it wouldn't snow that much that day, and it ended up being like 3 inches of snow, and everyone got screwed on the highway because it started falling right before rush hour.

Oh yeah, losing power for a week would suck. Hopefully we are all fine. And 20 people in an apartment sounds like hell on earth but at least you had heat and power.

It's the same people that were panicking during Covid over toilet paper. Weak sheeple. God help them if a real disaster ever happens. They'll die in 5 minutes.

Not to mention the Broncos star running back is out. But we're like 0-4 in the playoffs in Denver in like the last 20 years

It kinda happened here in NY near the southern tip NYC area. it was reported we were getting snow fall but DPW didn't roll out the sand and salt trucks so the snow didnt melt. the west side high way going north where i live was a mess. it looked like something out a city. people abandon their cars which didn't help traffic. normally even in traffic it's like 45 minutes max to get home, that day it was 9 hours. whole lot of higher ups lost their jobs over that bullshit because the snow wasn't even that deep.

LOL I'm from Tennessee originally and we always got snow and ice fairly regularly in winter, so I just sort of roll with it and can drive in it if I have to.

These native Texans don't know what to do when snow and ice hits.
